Marhaba Hotel Aswan

Overall it's not bad but it is an old hotel that's needs some upgrades, you get what you pay for so nothing to complain..it is located in a busy area just behind there is the souk and excellent Egyptian restaurant like Makka restaurant. They gave us a triple room although the booking was for a standard for no extra fee.

Towels are of very poor quality, hot water in the shower and lift are unpredictable.

Terrible experience! Arrived exhauted at 1am only to be informed the hotel had CLOSED DOWN. NO Refund, no contact so I could organise something else! We ended up not only losing our mpney for the fully paid room, but then had no choice butvto fork out 3 times that again for another room, as with no internet and female in the middle of the night I didnt have the luxury of being picky. Abolutely furious and disgusted they are still taking bookings!!!

Positive : 1. Hotel location nearby aswan railway station 2. Room very clean 3. Hotel staff consider quite helpful 4. Nice Nile River view from Hotel Negative: 1. Water pressure too weak, difficult to take shower, even change to another room also same. 2. Water Heater unstable

Horrible broken beds. Receptionist was babysitting on the job. Prices cheaper from reception than online booking. Horrible breakfast (no buffet). Shower was a nightmare, weak water flow, not enough hot water. Bas smells all over.

Very friendly staff and location was decent to get to places. Spent a couple days here so I can't say a whole lot more as I was out and about all day. The hotel staff were great for getting everything setup to yours and taxi and such. Different experience than the rest of Egypt, but they were always reasonable.

I opted to leave early, you can draw your own conclusions from that.

Hotel staff was exceptional. The bell hop walked me to ATM and back, walked me to pizza restaurant a few blocks away and asked for English menu, arranged taxi to Nubia Museum. The hotel staff made my stay very comfortable. The hotel is in great location.

Nice, relaxed, good value hotel with a pleasant restaurant. It was great to state over the Nile each morning while brushing my teeth. Its a shame there aren't more people here to enjoy it.
