Angel's Share Hotel

Laura was the best!!! Great service to us fellow Canadians !! We had a great time. Whisky, beer and great company!!!!!!!

We went for lunch on a Sunday, we'd booked a table and were seated quickly. We were given menus but no roast menu although there was only roast beef so it really didn't matter. We asked for three roast beef and a haggis sausage and potatoes. I was informed there were no sausages so I had to opt for a roast beef too. The veg was cooked well but I thought the beef was a little chewy. We all felt that the food could've been a little hotter. We did ask for extra gravy which was no problem. The service was OK and with a bottle of wine and two prossecos the price was OK. To me it was an average roast.

We visited for lunch and had the most amazing mocktails crafted by Ishan. Thank you! (We tried the Flowers ‘O the Forrest and Mrs Midas)

We had a lovely afternoon escaping the rain all while sampling cocktails and whiskey. The staff were exceptional as was the setting we will definitely be back.

We had a ladies day out and what a lovely afternoon spent putting the world to right in angels Share. To add to our experience Megab and Laura were the perfect servers who made sure of prompt and friendly service. Thank you 😊

I had a great stay at Angel's Share. The hotel feel truly unique and fun, my room was comfortable, and the staff were great. It was also a short walk to everything I wanted to see but still quiet at night,

We went for a sunday roast and shared the platter. Everything was cooked to perfection and received generous amounts (you get what you pay for). We were served by Ishan and received the best customer service, so friendly and inviting, checking in on us to make sure everything was up to standard. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy. Cleanliness is very good. 100% recommend to anyone that’s looking for a cosy meal out with 10/10 service.

I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Usher Hall as I had bought concert tickets for my husband’s birthday. The best thing about it is the location, pretty central to everything. Unfortunately the overall experience was extremely disappointing, it certainly doesn’t meet 4 star standards . It doesn’t begin well when they don’t even have a sign on the door telling you where reception is. We ended up in a busy bar and had to wait to speak to someone for directions. The condition of the room was mostly clean but definitely in need of refurbishment. It was small which I expected but badly laid out. You can’t close the curtains because they are behind the desk and so high up, the Tv is at an angle because it hits the bathroom door and you have to move the bedside table if you want to plug anything in. The condition can be seen on the pictures. I thought the room rate was extremely high, much more than I have paid for gorgeous hotels in Manchester City centre. The breakfast was fair but everything Is brought to you so only one hot drink each and limited items to have. I missed not being able to help myself to pastries, fruit or more juice for example. There was a wedding party on the night we stayed which was very noisy. I obviously can’t blame the hotel for that but the secondary window units were old and dirty. The staff were all good. A lovely city but will not be returning.

Good location. Easy to get to and access. Has a lift to help you get to the rooms. The decoration is nothing special and really reminded me of a up market traveloge. The room decor was the same. Big pic of the person your room is named after but a drab colour on the walls. For the price we paid I don’t think I the room was worth it ( we paid in the region of £300, and had booked many months ago) the room has a big bed in a room with a bathroom I will say the shower was fantastic but you could hear everything in the hall and in the room next door. Our room got very hot in the night and I had to put the fan on that was noisy ( could not work out how to make it quieter) but nice we had a fan. No breakfast included - which for the price we are paying just felt wrong. I know edin is an expensive city for rooms but I expected more.
