A shout out for the beautiful grounds & friendly ducks and the warm considerate servers at both dinner & breakfast. HOWEVER, we were disappointed with the state of our room. No water provided (that was advertised as included), a small roll of toilet paper with no refills available, someone's take-out box of food left in the fridge, fingernail clippings found on the desk. . . .and what bathroom does not provide racks or hooks for towels! I will say the bed was comfortable.

The current owners have tried to modernize this historic and iconic hotel. The carpets are absolutely horrible and make your head spin. They do not match the walls whatsoever. Four poster beds have been removed. It's like they forgot the true history of this hotel and tried to rebrand it like the failed Bud Lite or Cracker Barrel re-brand fails. This hotel should stick to its roots and celebrate its history. Wall lights are too modern for it. Get back to CLASS that preserves and uplifts the grandeur of the hotel. Message to new owners! We would come back. We have known this hotel for decades. Go with what the brand really is! Don't try to outthink yourselves.

Very dog friendly with a lovely walking area! Great brownies. Quiet beautiful setting, with even a little stream and waterfall. We will go back.

The Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa was an amazing experience. Perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The grounds are spectacular, overlooking the gorge, with the creek and waterfall. It felt very romantic. The hotel is old, of course, it's historic. But we found it to be extremely charming, clean, and beautiful.

Lovely hotel! A fun place to stop on your way to or from Portland, or just as your target destination itself. Spring is a great time to visit this area -- a drive up toward Mt. Hood was just spectacular. Breakfast at the hotel was yummy, and there are also lots of interesting places to eat in Hood River.

We were only there for one night, but the location is beautiful, and with lake view and having that little water fall right outside my window made for a very nice open the window to sleep kind of night. It was wonderful, staff was very pleasant, only down side is the bar downstairs closed at 9pm and there was even a wedding event there which surprised me on how early they closed up.

Wonderful historical place situated right on the cliffs edge and waterfall overlooking the gorge. The service was friendly and spot on. We only ate breakfast here but it was great also.
