The Hoban Hotel Killkenny

The Hoban Hotel in Kilkenny is a bit of a jewel. It is new and 20 min from downtown by walking but IMHO, those are pluses. Clean, oh yes 5/5 on that. The staff, everyone was exceptional, maybe even more so than the concierge based hotels we stayed in Dublin at… wait for it… nearly three times the price. Mag in the bar and restaurant was one of the nicest people we’ve met on the isle and if it were not for Donald at the front desk we would not even have been there, he fit us in in a last minute late day booking and made sure we were sorted. Excellent place, lovely clean rooms and facilities. Lots of light, windows and greenery. Good breakfast! Well done Hoban and thanks to all of your great staff.

Great hotel and very spacious. My sister and I had a great time here. The walk into town was pretty easy and stores were pretty close. The front desk folks were helpful

Really impressed with The Hoban Hotel Kilkenny My wife and I first time to stay here - lovely big bedroom with loads of electrical sockets - superb big high definition flat screen TV - air cond and heating system -.lovely friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for us - excellent food with large helpings - plenty of room in the car park - lots of shops and outlets adjacent to the hotel - 1 km to city centre or nice easy 15 minute walk - we have been in 5 star hotels that didn’t measure up to The Hoban Hotel

Dez was extremely helpful in every aspect of our dining experience. Both well-versed and local, Dez was very guiding on options during our visit in Ireland, as well. Truly, our dining was much better than ever expected... and, the food was absolutely on point! Thank you!

Thanks for an awesome stay at the Hoban Kilkenny Ireland. The room was wonderful and the food we had for both dinner, dessert and breakfast was so delicious 👍 Thanks to Dez who went above and beyond with customer service, especially getting crepes with cream & sauce made for our daughter for breakfast.

Fully accessible bedrooms and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff free parking with lots of spaces, beautiful food, and drink very clean dog friendly.

It’s the people that make the lovely ambience at the Hoban. From front desk, to Kate at the bar and wonderful Dez taking such great care of my family, which includes my sweet Golden Retriever, Kasey Derry!

Very easy to locate the hotel. All staff were very friendly, especially Johnny who was very helpful. The room was clean, and had everything we needed. Very good value. The restaurant was spectacular, even provided a sample of a meal I had never tried before to ensure I'd like it. Would highly recommend.

Went out for lunch with my family before travelling. The service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious and filling. Our server Dez was friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had especially regarding gluten free options for my aunt. I have been to the Hoban many times before and would always recommend it to friends
