Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, lovely location and pool. Plenty of opportunities to enjoy antics of monkeys around the pool in the evenings. Steps could use a little more lighting at night and area can get a little noisy at night. Special shout out to Moses who went out of his way to engage and serve guests!

Loved our stay here! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. We loved the pool facilities and being able to see the monkeys right from our hotel! Great restaurants if you don’t want to leave the hotel although lots of great choices very close.

Room was spacious and clean, and it was exciting to see monkeys and macaws right outside our room!

Pros: lots of animals (saw 3 different types pf monkeys, macaws, toucans, agouti, deers, iguanas), nice pool/bar area, friendly staff, good breakfast that was included, walking distance to many good restaurants/cafes/mini-marts, close to main attractions, 1 bottle of complimentary water per night per person, mini-fridge/microwave. Cons: lots of stairs (which was not made clear on the website. Was ok for us but would be an issue for some ppl), not the most comfortable bed, VERY noisy. Except for the bungalows set further inside the property by the pool, I believe all suites would be noisy since the windows/terraces face the main street. If you are a light sleeper, all the truck traffic noise will keep you up.

From check-in to check-out, this was a great experience. ECOTICA truly made our stay in Manuel Antonio feel like home.

The hotel building and cottages are surrounded by trees, shrubs and greenery full of life! We saw birds including scarlet macaw, humming birds, heard a toucan’s call - couldn’t quite spot it though, white faced monkeys, agouti. It’s like in small private zoo! Best option here are cottages that have a balcony facing this small forest. The pool has comfortably warm water, perfect for relaxation. Breakfast served at poolside caffe has decent options, evening service is amazing with good selection of drinks and snacks. Moises, the server that assisted us was exceptional! Extremely caring! The restaurant upstairs offers sandwiches, salads, and small snacks that are delicious, all accompanied by live music every night. If you stay in main building’s basic hotel room and are sensitive to sounds, you may need ear plugs as it’s settled next to the main road that is quite noisy… Overall, the experience was great for us. We actually saw more animals here on this property than in Manuel Antonio National Park.

Our stay was outstanding. Everything from the staff, to rooms, to the stunning eco friendly jungle environment, to the concierge were TOP KNOCH. we cannot wait to come again.

We felt like we were immersed in the jungle. This place is family-friendly and safe. There’s not many sidewalks to walk to everywhere, but it was easy to walk to a few nice restaurants. There are monkeys, macaws, tucanes and other wildlife all over the place.

The staff were nice and patient, and always ready to assist. The hotel is beautiful and feels like a jungle.
