"Amazing Experience"

10.0

We had a great time at the Union Hotel. We stayed during the off season, and the Saturday night was quite busy but there were only 4 people at the hotel on Sunday night. The front desk manager called our room to set up when we wanted dinner, and the next morning we were leaving before their scheduled breakfast but they went out of their way and prepared us some to-go breakfast packages. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Geiranger.

"awesome pool, expensive meal"

8.0

Pool is incredible! Room was good. "Buffet meal" was ridiculously overpriced and of marginal quality.

"Prepaying a hotel is always a risky proposition."

6.0

The first night they assigned two rooms that were very old, dirty and did not have a/c (it was extremely hot). We complained to the manager and they said they coud do anything that day because the hotel was full, so the next day they moved us to a much nicer and newer room and provided ventilators. We wonder if they could not do it since the first night, however we paid for both nights full price and did not receive any type of compensation from the hotel for the earlier inconvenience.

"Dated!"

6.0

Hotel has a new wing, but we were in an older one. Beds were lumpy, and room in general dated. For the town it is in it was ok, but not the best value for money. Hotel needs some updating.

"Great view!"

8.0

Probably the best hotel option in Geiranger. If you book with the lowest online rate you will probably be given a room in the back, but be offered the option to upgrade to a room with a fjord view. If you can afford to, do it. The view is fantastic!!

"Geiranger"

The Hotel was beautiful, yet I had to fight with one of the clerks at the reception to get a room worth the view.

"The Union Hotel"

4.0

I was surprised several times during my three night stay at The Union hotel. The care of the hotel was run down ,our linens on the bed carelessly thrown on the bed, and bathroom not totally clean. When i went to inquire about the spa, the staff were abrupt and unfriendly. The floor around the pool is so slippery you have to hold onto lounge chairs as not to slip and fall. When we went into the main room for an evening cocktail no one was there for 20 minutes until we asked at the front desk and someone appeared. We had really been looking forward to this stay, and were shocked at the prices they charge for our rooms and the quality of service and poor condition of the hotel. It is too bad it is a spectacular town with unbelievable natural beauty.

"Old hotel for old people and asien turists"

6.0

The hotel is old but the location i the best and onle one of tre choises. The bar closed at midnight and no other options were abel to enjoy a beer with my girl. My next stay in Geiranger will defently be at the Utsikten hotel mutch higer up. That hotel is very intimit and got a view that it extreme nice.
