Hotel Union Geiranger Bad & Spa

Fabulous room with super view of the Geiranger fjord. Spa facilities were enjoyable; good massage, warm and inviting indoor pool; jacuzzis inside and outside. Excellent dinner at the a la carte restaurant, Julia. Highly recommend this hotel beautifully situated with a wonderful staff.

The staff and service was great! The view was incredible! The highlight of our trip!

Our room overlooked the fjords, such a nice way to relax in your room and take in the view.

Pretty good location with excellent view of the fjord. Multiple choices of breakfast is a plus. We enjoyed our stays in this hotel.

Happy to get a free upgrade to Jr. Suite(probably owing to group tourists). Facilities including swimming pool and sauna are very satisfactory. However, a hotel staff at front desk lacks of kindness. When I asked a hiking map of the area, she coldly replied they ran out of it without saying any sorry.

We were upgraded to a room with a fjord view for free by the kind gentleman at the counter, because I simply asked and I came at off season time where they have plenty of empty rooms. I haven't tried their spa, because it was fully booked for maybe the whole easter break; that's how popular it is. You should reserve in advance.

We stay 2 nitgh. It was perfect choice. Its like heven. Perfect place!!!

Geiranger at end of fjord - and up the mountain - what a beautiful location! Hotel in some version or another has been there for over a century. Current hotel is lovely - we had a room at the back of the hotel looking up the mountain. We were tired of buffets (so much food) so we opted for al la carte dinner & given table in front corner of small dining room overlooking the fjord. The meal was wonderful & while pricy, it was worth it. Hotel also has smaller rooms - must be for tour groups & we peeked in at one and while nice, was much smaller than our room up stairs. There is a beautiful walk on a staircase across from the hotel along the waterfall to the bottom - recommend this highly - all 300+ steps. From the front of the hotel we got the bus to Andelsnes the next day to catch train to Oslo. The train ride is supposed to be fantastic (it was nice) but we thought the bus ride from Geiranger to Andelsnes up over the mountain and back down the other side was the best ride of the trip.

we were upgraded, and got a suite. the view is absolutely gorges, the room was huge, very comfortable and perfect for spoiled couple like we are. the breakfast was delicious. if we will go to Geiranger again, this will be the hotel for us.
