Hotel Union Geiranger Bad & Spa

Excellent. Buffet - excellent

This has to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. It's a bit on the expensive side, however it's worth it. Staff were excellent, food and drink very good (bit pricey). Free parking. They even have their own entertainment in the evenings. On top of this you get the amazing views. Our room was great, looking out over the fjord. Except for it being a bit expensive we had a great couple of days. Thanks.

First rate hotel in a spectacular setting. Wonderful spa and heated outdoor pool to soak in. Very tasty breakfast buffet. Friendly hotel staff.

So glad I decided to stay in this hotel. They upgraded our room and the view was magnificent !!!!! The location of the hotel was perfect, so close to the town and walking trails. The sound of the waterfalls was so relaxing .The Buffett was also sumptuous .

This is a very large hotel well located above a fjord with beautiful views and a waterfall going right through the property. There was a hole in the wooden bathroom door. Outdated but reasonably comfortable fixtures and furniture. Food was a problem as there are few nearby options for dinner (breakfast is your usual Norwegian buffet.) They had a dinner buffet that was about $100 per person. Due to a private party (the owner's birthday, I was told) the a la carte restaurant was not available to guests and they would not offer the a la carte menu in the bar, where there is an extremely limited bar menu. Long line to check in not surprising due to the hotel size.

My wife and I spent a night in the hotel after taking the ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger. Beautiful room with all the amenities, fabulous view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains, amazing dinner buffet and breakfast with very amiable staff. We would have stayed a week.

while the hotel seems a bit over-priced, it was a spacious room and very comfortable. everything was clean, the room was bright, and we couldn't hear the other guests. they included a nice breakfast as well. i would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Smooth checkin, comfortable room. wonderful spa and pool. Fabulous views, from the out side terrace, nice place to have drinks and bar snacks, only problem is everyone goes out there to smoke!!

Delighted with my room and view - specificially asked for a view of the Fiord,and I was delighted. Truly breathtaking. Hotel had many places to dine, have drinks, watch World Cup on big screen TV. We hiked the fiords, and hotel staff found us Nordic hiking poles, a big help! Loved this location and hotel. Go there! Breakfast was super, hotel has laundry facilities......try them!!
