Portimão Center Hotel

Excellent hotel even if rated a two star. Courtesy bus helps with the issue of access to Portimao and Praia de Rocha. Alexander could not do enough for us during our visit. Breakfast was great and room spotlessly clean. Pool area good with lots of sun beds and a pool that was very clean. Can recommend this hotel.

The staff were really helpful and kind and were just great, the hotel room could do with some more amenities like a kettle and a mini fridge to keep your water cool. Sheets were also sometimes a little dirty, apart from that it was really nice though !

Nice clean place to stay in portimao Close to lots of things

Refused to provide soya milk and yoghurt for daughter allergic to dairy products and did not reply to my request to say that they couldn't provide these items. In addition to this there was one very rude man on reception desk and his manager was even ruder. All other staff were really nice and friendly. Did not appreciate someone else's balcony being directly below our bathroom window. Made it a bit awkward for showering and we couldn't have the bathroom window open. Otherwise the room was very nice. Had every amenity except for a fridge. Good location.

Basic but did the job I wanted

A pleasant stay in October 2017. My 3rd floor room was clean and had a balcony with a pleasant view of the town (but not the sea). The rising October sun shone directly into my room at the front of the hotel. The outdoor pool was pleasant with a shower and changing rooms (the water was cold on entering the pool but nice once I got used to it. (Apparently pool is heated from Oct to April but not sure if it was during my stay). Indoor pool is very small (shallow water at one end but soon gets deep). A few cardiovascular gym machines next to indoor pool. The buffet breakfast offered is very good with a big variety of items available including scrambled eggs, small sausages, bread (which can be toasted using the toaster), butter, marmalade, jam, fruit in juice (incl sliced peaches), sliced melon, sliced tomatoes, breakfast cereals and milk, ham, cheese, various cakes, yoghurt, a machine for various coffees or hot water (tea bags/milk supplied) and various fruit juices. Reception staff were pleasant, one guy was very friendly with perfect english.

Very nice and helpful staff! Contact through e-mail - very quick and friendly. Hotel is a bit far from beach (35-40min walk) but it is great "base" to start visiting Algarve - by car for example.

Good value for money. Check in was quick. Room was small. Noisy (people) Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Handy for parking
