Hotel am Augustinerplatz

Worst 4 star hotel we've ever stayed in. No service, you have to do everythingyourself: from check-in to getting a next toilet paper roll. They say they do the room every other day but we've stayed for 4 nights and our room was never done. See picture showing the dust. Swimming pool is not in the hotel itself. Interesting fact: we had booked on their website eight weeks in advance, mentioning that 2 of the 4 nights we would pay with a Wonderbox voucher (a gift from friends) Booking confirmation received with no further comment...séven weeks later, óne week before our arrival, they send an email saying they only accept Wonderbox vouchers when booked by phone or email and that furthermore during a Messe (Fair) they don't accept these vouchers. After our reply, politely saying we were disappointed with the timing and asking to reconsider, the answer was first an Email confirming payment receipt via our credit card and thén an email explaining that it were "Wonderbox rules". We could not cancel anymore anyway. If you want your money's worth in Cologne center, we advise choosing another hotel.

Friendly staff, good location, staff went above and beyond to meet our needs of the extra pillows and a hot pot so that we could make some instant coffee in the morning

Street noise, no nespresso machine, no coffee available in the bar area, bar not open. The rooms were quite small we had 2 21” suitcases and one was put on desk the other on the floor…at 60+ its hard to be on the floor.

Die Lage des Hotels war super!

Unauberkeit, Spinnenweben, unsauberes Waschbecken, defekter Duschkopf, defekte Duschtür, Schiebetür zum Bad sehr,sehr schwergängig! Das Bett für 2 Personen in einer Nische, so das man nur auf einer Seite ins Bett kam ! 2 Übernachtungen mit 2 Personen ca. 270€ !!! Das waren definitiv keine 4 Sterne außer vom Preis!

Nothing.

The air con was broken. No proper shower facilities s d the bath was broken. The fridge was broken so no cold drinks. The staff were rude and unhelpful. It was noisy as the hotel hosts private parties in a small bar area. The pool- only go if you are wanting to be naked. This is the worst hotel ever and bookings.com should not be advertising it. The hotel has charged me hundreds of pounds extra which they cannot tell me what this is for and bookings.com will not help, avoid avoid avoid
