Homewood Suites by Hilton Brighton

I liked everything very much, except the Jacuzzi was out of order. We usually only stay where there is a jacuzzi. So it is very important to us.

The breakfast was wonderful, the staff took a lot of pride in both it's presentation and quality. The room was excellent and cozy.

The hot tub was broken, the temperature was warm and the jets didn't work.

Great hotel just off I96. Perfect location near many stores and restaurants, plus downtown Brighton is nearby. Hotel was so clean and festive looking. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very nice breakfast too.

I booked this hotel mainly to use the hot tub and relax. We arrived on Friday and the hot tub was broken. We asked several times and there was a different excuse everytime. Never got to use it. As for the room-if you changed the sheets you would have seen the dog ball wedged along the dresser and bed. Ton of kids running aroung jumping in and out of pool. Horrible experience-Will not stay here again

Original stay was supposed to be 10/4/24-10/6/24 TLDR: The pool was broke, they charged me for the full stay and would not refund anything. After much back and forth, I received 1.5 nights refund. The manager is a liar. Do not recommend staying here. I got an email to check in online so I did and it told me to go to the front desk when we arrived to get our room keys. It was my son’s birthday and he wanted to go swimming so we booked this room for the weekend. When we arrived with our life jackets in tow, we were informed the pool was closed due to needing repair. They did offer for us to walk across the parking lot and use the sister hotel’s pool though. With my 3 kids being young and October in Michigan, it really wasn’t feasible to do so. I requested a refund so I could book at the hotel across the parking lot with the working pool (Hampton by Hilton). I was told the manager, Andrea, would be in on Monday and they would put a note with what happened. When I called back I was told to call Hotels.com. Totally fine, Hotels.com reached out to the hotel multiple times and got no response so they were unable to refund the room and offered a small credit of $27 in OneKey Cash. I filed a dispute with my bank and was only able to get 1 of 2 nights back. It absolutely sucks that I’m the one penalized when we were not notified that the full facility would not be available until arrival and now I’m stuck paying for two hotels. 11/23/24 UPDATE: The OneKey Cash had not shown up in my Hotels.com account. I reached back out to them to get it resolved. The first representative told me she would need to call the hotel to get confirmation of the events. I informed the rep of everything stated above and she said she would be trying to get the second night refunded. When the rep spoke with Andrea she LIED and said there were no issues with the pool during the timeframe our stay was supposed to happen. Because of this the rep stated that she couldn’t refund, but I needed to call the hotel myself and talk to Andrea about the issue, then call Hotels.com back with the resolution. That did not make sense to me so I asked to do a 3-way call with the hotel so we could resolve it together. Rep stated they did not have the ability to do so. I said I did on my phone, but the rep said they were not allowed. So I tried to call Andrea and got her voicemail. Then I went on Hotels.com to find my review and see if anyone else had the same issue. Lo and behold, another guest did! So I called Hotels.com back, told them about the other review, we went through all of the above again, and Andrea LIED to that representative AGAIN! At this time I asked to speak with a supervisor. After some back and forth, I was put in touch with someone. They stated they too had to reach out to the hotel (seriously?!), however when they did Andrea would not speak with them and stated the issue had been addressed. When I said that was not a good enough solution, the supervisor offered a credit of $45. I negotiated and was able to have them agree to just under half of the nights stay refunded to my original payment method totaling $61. Overall, this entire experience has been a headache, all because my 6 year old wanted to swim for his birthday. NEVER again will I attempt to stay here or recommend this hotel. 10/10 The HAMPTON BY HILTON is in the same parking lot and has a much more pleasant staff, clean rooms, working amenities, and was a pleasure to do business with!!!! Spend a little more and stay there!

The best thing about the experience was the guy in the dining area during breakfast, the hospitable staff. They made it great for the kids and ourselves. Thank you!

Bathroom counter top broken and glued back together with glue on the counter. You don’t know if the glue could affect your skin or not. Sink was leaking on the floor and looks like it had been that way for a while.

I loved the suites, I liked how big the room was, the staff was very accommodating when my first rooms TV didn't work, the bed was comfy, the shades made the room extra dark, and breakfast was good enough

The TV didnt have a guide and there wasn't one in the room
