Alfagar Village

Great location and resort setting, the apartments could do with a spruce up as ours was a bit tired inside.

Fab hotel with excellent facilities, private beach is amazing, loved our stay, perfect with kids

We had so much fun at Alfagar Village! There is a clifftop walk, looking out over the beach with all the craggy rocks and there were wildflowers Growing Everywhere. Our unit was lovely, and comfortable. They called it a mini kitchen, but we had everything, even an oven. We loved the indoor pool and the gym, and we also had many Great meals at the two different restaurants. There was a shuttle available to take us into town for a reasonable price, and the town of Albufeira is really a fun Place.

Excellent hotel for families! Everyone seems involved on giving the guests the best experience, from management, to housekeeping, to the lovely entertainers. The buffet was good quality. Even tho we’ve decided to try some restaurants around the area, kids didn’t let us leave the hotel during evenings, cause of the kids discos. Shout out to the guys from entertainment!! From kids discos to fun quiz nights. Brilliant job!!! Kids club is also something every kid into crafts and games should try. The hotel is spotless and the outdoor area is great for kids and parents. There’s a lot of things to do. Overall we’ve had a great holiday!

We stayed at Alfagar Village, our 7th visit!! This is an exceptionally well run resort offering great value for money in a superb location. The staff are friendly and super helpful and the on-site facilities are excellent!! The location is perfect if you are looking for direct beach access but also great if you enjoy a morning walk down to Albufeira Old Town for a morning coffee!! We will definitely be back in 2026!!

Alfagar always nice but quite pricey in the last years and communication poor

My family and I stayed in Alfagar Village end of March / beginning of April and what a week we had. We have children age 15, 7 and 3 and it was just perfect for us. This resort is only a 3* and you really wouldn't think it was 3* to be honest more 5*. From the moment we stepped foot in to reception we were so well looked after. Here is a list of pros and cons we found within our stay. This was also during the quiet period so I am aware some things were not in operation. Pros: -excellent customer service from staff in reception and staff in the bars and restaurants. -Very spacious apartments. Clean and have everything you need. Oven, microwave, kettle, fridge and small freezer, coffee machine, plates, cups, cutlery. Literally everything. Apartments also cleaned every other day. - So many swimming pools with views from the gardens or sea. -indoor heated pool was a god send. -beautiful restaurants -golf carts that take you and your luggage to apartment in arrival -the most stunning beach -kids playparks and a few of them -most areas are 15 mins in an uber but can walk to new town within 20 mins -Bugnaville restaurant was amazing. Definitely go here for food. Cons - walls very thin in apartments - outdoor pools at this time of year are so so cold. Kids playparks have a lot of broken equipment and the ground all needs repaired as the tree roots have it lifted and it's very dangerous. - Overall we had a terrific stay and can't wait to return during peak times so the kids can use the watermark as its closed during this season.

Great stay and love the view/walk to the beach. Could use some minor updates in bathrooms, it stayed very damp. Definitely a resort type stay and not for those looking for a quaint town.

This complex is nice and really big. Has plenty to do with the children such as football pitches, playgrounds, any amount of pools and slides and cafes, bars, shops. The room we had was dated, it had all the facilities you would expect, such as a fully stocked kitchen but the bathroom was tiny and had a clear glass window where people walked passed the window a lot. The bar was lovely and the staff in the whole place are great. The beach is absolutely beautiful, I recommend getting up early for sunrise, it’s amazing. Uber is about €5. To the town and if you walk the opposite direction there is a small village with plenty to see and do. December travels mean that a lot of local places are closed and that’s ok. Still loads to see and do around. Breakfast was mental. I guess for December they don’t have the main area open but still, it could be improved a lot. I will definitely return to this complex but I might stay in the hotel.

I liked that it was quietand the viw was really good. It was clean, I think ir needs a little TLC. Mind that there ia no elevator in the appartments. We ate at the cafereria and food was okay, a little pricey for the quality.
