Very pretty location and the situation was ideal for access to the NW islands & highlands. Good for exercising the dog. Helpful staff.

No dinner on arrival and a motel style mediocre breakfast - killer faults for us. General condition of the room - vent fan not working, door handle broken, toilet not flushing fully. No lift

Not a 4 star hotel by a long way … we were extremely disappointed and so glad to get away … it was a very poor experience .. no hot breakfast restaurant closed continental breakfast limited choice sone fruit not fresh .. pear rotten !! Room was poorly maintained .. shower glass leaked flooding the bathroom. Wet dirty there’s left in bathroom uncollected .. bin not emptied no biscuits no tea bags replenished … window didn’t shut properly .. local nearby church sounds every 15 mins and on the hour louder got no sleep due to this and ours continually banging … fire safety at risk as fire door to corridor didn’t shut properly … stains on carpets … do not stay here it’s not the same as pictures show poorly maintained owners clearly don’t care anymore just want your money .. we are seeking a full refund it was so bad .. stsff do their best but this does not cut with the reality of the place

Poorly maintained .. very near a church that sounds every 25 mons day and night and no one advised us if this .. no hot food including breakfast which we expected as forester hotel and on Monday they put on bar food which looked like warned up From frozen .. the shower glass seal was damaged and the bathroom flooded when we used it .. room maintenance not great dirty towels left in bath uncollected bin not emptied and tea/ coffee she biscuits not refilled … cold on the Sunday and Monday until we complained when heating turned on … no atmosphere in the place … alarms went off Monday morning as no notices on rooms to keep doors closed when showering … poor room decoration .. dirty stained carpets .. doors banging all night as manure door not fitting so heard all noise and we got very little sleep with that and church bells … window didn’t close properly due to broken handle so we heard more noises from outside …electronic keys didn’t work and had to be reset …this hotel is no way 4 star as advertised and the photos on the website do not reflect its unmaintained current position … we would never stay there again it was one of our worst hotel experiences and we feel conned into booking based on false information … we were never informed when booking or when checking in about no cooked breakfast and a closed restaurant ..: we would ask for a full Refund under the circumstances … staff were pleasant and did their best but they in no way exempts the hotels liability to us as guests … we have many other photos to back up our claims … the continental breakfast was poor and staff was put out when its was off .. pears were rotten ( pic taken ) and bananas going black … all in all not a place booking .com should be accepting Terry Gould 07714 039390
