Service was the best part!

It was very clean, very friendly and attentive staff. The room could use and update, there's no easy accesible plug to charge your phone. Overall it was a comfortable rest space!

We are currently here, it's our last day. I'm laying on thick cushioned sunbed, at the beach bar, the two young men Bibash and Tilak have been curtious, well mannered and attentive the whole of our stay. Our room 609 has a wonderful view of Coral Bay, with the sun on it when you wake up, spotlessly cleaned every day , comfortable bed and a bath. Amazing chefs with themed menus every night, food outstanding. Reception staff knowledgeable and helpful. We will be returning in October.

This was our second stay at the Thalassa. I had pre requested room 705 which is on the top floor with amazing views of Coral Bay Beach on the sunrise side. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the lovely Navi who sat us down with a glass of bubbly and completed the welcome chat. Our chosen room had been allocated and we were delighted. The hotel has apparently had some upgrades over the winter but although the hotel is spotlessly clean the rooms are quite tired and require modernisation especially in relation to the bathrooms where they still have over bath showers making it difficult for people with mobility issues. Walk in showers are now present in most 5 star hotels. There is no wall art in the rooms. The mini bar is fully stocked but if you are half board I would suggest using the nearby supermarket for soft drinks/beers/snacks and replacing them into the fridge which is a much cheaper option. A bottle of water is provided each day and the maids are excellent in the housekeeping team. Hot water is constantly hot and the toiletries are excellent. Evening entertainment is of a poor standard so a lot of guests leave the hotel after dinner. The Saxophonist was talented but very dull with boring choice of downbeat tunes. All staff were amazing across the hotel. The Nepalese staff are just so humble, warm hearted and friendly attending to your every wish. The best waiters are Dipandra (Dip) Laden and Susma. Dip has a permanent smile and is a beautiful human being. These guys leave their homeland and family for many months at a time and they literally make your holiday. The pool barman TILAK is also a very special man who again always has a smile. The Porters Alexandar and Khimi are also fantastic and attentive and Simita on reception was also lovely. Food quality is excellent in the buffet restaurant but the hotel does need to agree upon a dress code for dinner. The web site says no shorts but this is not rigidly adhered to. Some guests are allowed to stay in shorts and some like me are asked to change. I purchased a pair of trousers only to find guests were still in shorts the next evening. I have to say my complaint was dealt with professionally by the food and beverage manager who brought a bottle of wine to our table to apologise. Just either have the rule or let people wear smart casual tailored shorts as was the case last year. Food choice is great but not always hot. It seems that the food warmers are not efficient enough to keep the food constantly hot. I reported this last year but alas no improvement, Pool side is great, pool is clean and refreshing and the pool attendant always helps with towels and umbrellas. One last negative are the party boats that arrive daily in the bay just below the hotel with loud thumping music and tannoy announcements that get tedious. They stay for 2 hours and this disturbs the otherwise tranquil nature of the hotel. It was our 40th wedding Anniversary and I had notified the hotel of this. We received a 'happy Birthday' cake in our room but nothing else was done in this regard. Overall a fantastic holiday made special by the special staff. We will return. I have read other reviews and cannot understand how anyone can complain about the brilliant staff. If you take time to hear their stories and show an interest in their lives you will be rewarded by great service. I also tip early and it makes a big difference.

Umm. Splashed out for a 1st class holiday here and found a floundering 3rd class venue. No major red flags but many minor ones which add up to a “never again” decision. Food -greasy. Waiters - took plates away before finished eating and getting wine order wrong Bathroom shower stinks of raw sewage. No plug for bath Aircon inadequate for room size/location Bed turned down at night but power switched off leaving room hot and devices not charged. I could go on but- buyer beware!

Lovely hotel in quiet location. Room had wonderful sea views and staff were so friendly and helpful. Had a couple of minor maintenance issues with the room but were quickly and efficiently sorted.

Fantastic hotel! It was our first time staying in that hotel and definitely not the last. Rooms clean and very comfortable beds ,food delicious and fresh. Big thank you to the receptionists they are very helpful and nice also thank you to an amazing young Polish lady which made our time there more special! We usually stay away from activities on holidays but this time we actually joined some because of her ,very outgoing ,understanding and funny. The hotel is very lucky to have staff members like that.

From the minute we walked in the door the staff did their absolute best to make our stay the best experience. Reception check-in was faultless, professional, informative and friendly. We had mentioned it was our 35th wedding anniversary and we were given a room on the top floor with the best view of the bay. All the bar and restaurant staff were efficient, knowledgeable and very professional. Every morning the house keepers wished us a good morning and the pool attendant placed our sunbeds in the desired positions. The food in this hotel is outstanding. We were originally booked on a B & B basis but soon very quickly upgraded to all inclusive on the recommendation of other guests and this did not disappoint. The chefs are constantly refreshing the buffet, so it never looks like items are missing. The menu is constantly changing, so there is always something different to choose and the hot dishes are consistently hot. We would without hesitation recommend this lovely hotel with its amazing staff and delicious food and really look forward to returning if we come back to Cyprus. THANK YOU.

My cousin and I came to this hotel in need of a relaxing enjoyable week and we felt very happy to have discovered the Thalassa Hotel. All the staff were so kind and attentive . The location is lovely and we enjoyed relaxing round the hotel very much indeed but also being able to walk locally to a very pleasant small shopping/dining area called The Strip. A local bus was easily accessed to travel further into Paphos . A special touch for us was being invited to a cocktail party hosted by the managers/staff of the hotel, cocktail and canapes were lovely. The only slight disappointment was the spa area which on our visit we could not access the steam and sauna rooms, but our massage was very good. It was a holiday I will look back on very fondly, particularly the lovely staff.

Fabulous hotel with even better staff. Loved chilled out 5 nights away. We were AI so the contents of the mini fridge in the room could be used. There was wine, fruit & pastries in the room on arrival. We had a “sunset” room and the sun was on the balcony from 2.30ish. The room was huge and the bed very comfy. Maids changed the towels every day. The staff are lovely and genuinely look like they want to work here. Managers are visible and talk to guests. People previously have commented on the steep stairs to the beach but there’s a lift you can use to the beach bar, then they aren’t as bad. Take advantage of eating in the A La Carte restaurant as the meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely return for another chilled out holiday.
