The Vintage House - Douro

The property and river view was lovely. The breakfast was also very good.

My fridge was broken, the shower door would not close, and the tap water and my room drinking water was yellow. Booking.com also falsely advertised the standard rooms view. Standard room is terrible and not worth even the discounted price.

The hotel was in the heart of the town with beautiful river views as shown on your site. The hotel upgraded us to a fantastic suite with complimentarty Cava, fruit, and port. Staff super friendly.

We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was very gourmet, tasty, and fancy, but the quantity of food (espeically after drink wine/port in town was very small). Not worth the price tag.

Great location, right next to the river and by the bridge. Also next to the train station which is fun if you like trains. The room was quite comfortable, but as it is a long thin hotel, a good walk from reception. Made sure to book a room with a balcony, which was a nice place to sit in the evening.

Vintage port served was not decanted property and contained unacceptable levels of sediment. To be fair, when this was pointed out it was not charged.
