Travelodge by Wyndham Missouri Valley

There was old coffee in the coffee pot, coffee maker was dirty with a hair in the reservoir, the room smelled like a musty wet basement. TV guide was from the prior month. Checkout staff was flippant and rude.

This place was the no-brainer from research before our trip. A big blue sign on the way into the parking lot said check-in at the diner (Penny's). We loved Penny's and ate their several times during our stay. We were in the area celebrating our birthdays and hiking so this was a great home base to get to the loess hills. The room was nice and clean and facilities were secure and in good shape. They even have double paned room windows for lots of quiet. First hotel I've been in where I didn't wake up in the middle of the night due to highway noise or a train. It was also great to be able to bring along our dog. Good experience and would stay again when visiting the loess hills.

Don’t make coffee until you check the water reservoir- ours had a hair floating in It and coffee pot wasn’t empty or clean. Room smelled horrible - like a musty basement. HBO guide was from prior month. Bed was comfortable. Voiced concerns at checkout and received no apology or discount. Disappointed.

Overall very good but we missed the staff, for information. And we wasn't told there was a breakfast available, other than that all was good, the diner across the street was used for check in and there was a leak of information, the young girl sitting there in the check in,,, wasn't really smiling

Very comfortable bed. Be careful sitting on the toilet seat, it has sharp edges!!

nice clean quiet hotel just off the highway...great 50's diner next door where you check in....good menu..breakfast good here....room was clean quiet and well taken care off...would stay again at his gem of the highway...great price

We stayed on a weekend night and was very happy with the room and beds. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Nice mini fridge for travelers. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was close to the train tracks. I loved the desk people at Penny’s where you check-in. Only concern was the bathroom floor could be a cleaner.

Checkin was slow and I had paid ahead online and when I got there they only had me as a deposit so I don't know if error was them or expedia, but checking in at 9:45pm with twin 6 year olds and waiting a while was not optimal.

The check in process was not the best. Rude staff for check in. Clean room and comfortable bed.
