Hilton Garden Inn Yakima Downtown

The room was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was REALLY nice. There was a chef making stuff to order. He was super friendly and the food was good.

Our room was clean and very spacious, as well as the staff was friendly and helpful! The pool and spa were clean and well maintained, however the pool room was quite hot. The hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend!

The staff is off the charts nice and helpful. The place is clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the condition of the bed pillows. Might need some new ones. But everything else was great!

The original staff when checking in was great. My wife forgot to ask her about a law enforcement discount so I inquired the next day. The staff member said they could not help me because we had to do it at the time of booking.

Wow. And not in a good way. When I opened the door to my room at this Hilton, the disinfectant / air 'freshener' smell was overpowering. The smell in my travel companion's room was also quite strong. We opened windows and went out for a bite to eat, hoping the smell might dissipate. Shortly after 10 PM, I got a text from the hotel checking on my stay. When I told them about the smell, they said they didn't have any other rooms available, and that they would waive the parking fee to make up for the inconvenience. Parking fee?? I wasn't aware that there even was a parking fee. Sigh. Between the godawful smell, the traffic noise, and worrying whether or not I would wake up to a parking ticket, it was not a very restful night. Based on customer service and the overwhelming smell, I would not recommend this hotel.

Great accommodations!

There were plenty of things wrong first being, we were charged a 30 dollar parking fee for an area we were told we had to park in after 9:00. The amount of homeless people around the hotel made it feel very unsafe. The rooms were not near as nice as advertised. The floor was not clean, my kids had black marks all over their feet so walking around we had to wear socks or shoes in the room. The downstairs, lobby and bar were all very nice but very high priced. With all of these little things it does not match up with what we paid. For that is why we are very frustrated.

What I like about this hotel is that their services are excellent and their room is spotless.
