Discovery Resorts – Cradle Mountain

The cabin we had was absolutely perfect. Nestled in the bush at the rear of the property it had everything we needed and was in close proximity to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Centre. We could have stayed longer.

The only thing I didnt like was that coffee wasnt served until 8.30am. Everything else was fantastic.

Lovely welcoming staff and a beautiful atmosphere

It was wonderful to be on Cradle mountain, arriving with a light snowfall, and the village has a beautiful atmosphere blending perfectly in with the natural environment. The cabin is sweet but small and even though the heaters were on, the floor in the bathroom and kitchen was freezing! And actually the heater in our kid’s room didn’t work. It’s not the best accommodation you’ll come across, but we still loved our stay there and loved Cradle mountain!

The Wilderness village was centrally located, and the rooms are so much better than they appear in photos on the Web.

Check in was easy and we were greeted by Jan at reception who was very friendly and informative. We had a premium spa cottage. Very old and tired. Needs some major TLC for the price. Views were ok. The bed was not comfy and cold and smelt. Service at the on site restaurant was wonderful. Bar man John was happy and extremely nice. The meals were disappointing. We ordered the spatchcock for $37 and ended up with a 1/4 of chicken as they had ran out. We were never told this in advance and we were still charged the original price. The beef cheek was tough and tasteless. The restaurant was very nice and clean.

A lovely bush setting, all the cabins are very private. Good restaurant meals.

Our room was independent nestled into the stunning native bush. It was well appointed with plenty of space. The meals at the restaurant were way beyond our expectations

Enjoyed the facilities and stay, and would go again.
