Hotel Athena

Located in Brides-les-Bains, a small, low key village below the highway next to Meribel/Les Tres Valles ski areas, Hotel Athena is in quiet location within 2 blocks walking distance to restaurants, bars, and the Olympe 1 lift up to Meribel Ski resort. Breakfast is excellent and of European style. There is fast, free wi-fi in the lobby and a nice sitting area and fireplace. Bar in evening serves drinks and has espresso/latte/cappuccino as well. Ski lockers available in attached garage. Rooms are very clean, some with balconies right over the river. Nothing like natural white noise for a great night's sleep. This is a solid three star property and great value for the money in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient for getting to the Gondola and up to Meribel slopes. Cheap but very comfortable stay. Tidy, good sized room with nice en suite. Easy walk into town (5 mins).

A good value for money hotel and warrants its star rating. Staff are prepared to speak English and are very helpful. Breakfast offers a good selection and variety of food, and 3 course evening meal deal is competitively priced and good quality. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay... we were on a DBB package.. food and service were lovely...friendly staff too.. we were skiing with friends in Meribel...very easy to drive from Hotel to slopes...we could have used the free bus shuttle to the Olympic gondola and if we come agian we may even do that. Only improvement to our stay could have been hospitality in room but then I am English and love a cuppa! would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an out of resort stay near the 3 valleys...

Very good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Only negative is the small car park which is very awkward to access.

I visited the Athena for a short ski break. Value for money was excellent. The room was modern and spacious. The half board option was excellent value and I felt there was plenty of food with meat and fish options daily. I left my ski gear in a locker in Meribel which made for a much more comfortable trip to/from the slopes. I would stay here again.

Stay here for new year - a weeks skiing. Family of four. Balcony overlooked river & mountains. Very clean. Friendly staff. Typical French food. Recommend
