Hôtel Vacances Bleues Le Royal

Another fantastic stay at The Royal this past week. As usual, the staff was exemplary. I had not even got my luggage through the front door and the they were all welcoming me back, by name, before I even reached the front desk. I had requested a room upgrade to a sea facing view a few months ago, but they were all sold out. However, Nicholas (Thank You!!) did email me about last minute cancellation and asked me if I wanted to upgrade for 3-4 days which I did do during the middle of the week. The Sea View room is very spacious and has a few amenities that the city view side doesnt have: Proper glass ware, live plant, very spacious desk and of course the view. The only one slight downfall to the sea view room is that you can hear the bands/music at night from the beach across the street pretty late. Not really a big deal but though it was worth note. When it was time for me to return to the city side room, I walked in and felt a sense of coziness. The view from my room actually over looked the mountains and it was dead quite at night. Strangely, I was happy to be back on the city side. WIFI this year in both rooms worked very well. The housekeeping team was not only very good but extremely friendly. The one thing that I did miss from the previous year was that they no longer stock you fridge with still and sparkling water which use to be a nice touch (especially after the beach)...so I went to the tabac and got my own every few days. Breakfast was great and very consistent. The bar was always good to stop and have a drink on the terrace. Ill be back next year for sure. The staff was outstanding and I even got to talk to the manager this year in the elevator who is constantly running around to make sure things are going smoothly.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the promenade and a 15-minute walk to the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The only downside was that the carpet in room 403 was very dirty, stained, and old and really needs to be replaced.

Beautiful location on the carre d’or. Staff were very friendly. Tinier rooms, but what you expect in French Riviera. Overall very nice hotel for its cost

Beautiful hotel and perfect location

We had a beautiful stay at the hotel . The location was superb and the room we had was clean , the bed so comfortable and the sea side view with balcony was gorgeous ! Excellent stay ! Would highly recommend.

Perfect jump off spot for solo traveler! Great access to the beach, restaurants, and city!

All good except no caffeine available for our room even after request from house keeping. Everyone was excellent thank you so much

Excellent hotel quality, whose true selling point is the fantastic location on the Promenade des Anglais. Within walking distance to the majority of attractions in Nice, or to public transportation. 15-20 minute walk away from Nice Ville train station. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast (which you have to pay for) was also of high quality. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was decent - but not what i expected. Room was clean. Overalll building needs some TLC. Its a bit dated compared to the online images. Breakfast was the worst i had in any country and any hotel I've been too. Views from pur sea facing room were amazing.
