Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls

There were a couple of bumps during our stay here, which surprised me, but overall, this is a 5-star experience and a 5-star hotel. The rooms are lovely -- comfortable and spotless with stellar views, the art in the lobby and around the property is interesting and unique, the pool is warm and wonderful, and the overall experience is peaceful and lovely. The bumps were surprising. I had asked the front desk to put some more logs on the fire in the lobby (they don't want guests doing this), and I was told, somewhat rudely "I'll see to it when I can." It never happened. I had a cold, it was raining outside, and I wanted nothing more than to sit in front of the fire to dry off and warm up. Finally, I got up and put some more logs on the fire; the person at the front desk (sitting right across from me), never even noticed. The second bump was room service. Due to my cold, I wasn't feeling well enough to join some friends for dinner and opted for room service, instead. When I called, I explained that I was feeling under the weather and asked if they could make me some pasta instead of having to eat the heavier meat dishes on the menu. I asked for pasta with olive oil and parmesan cheese and I was told "No problem." When my meal arrived, there was no parmesan cheese with the pasta, there was no butter with the bread, and the portion size was for that of a small child. I didn't complain or ask for a larger portion (I'm not a big eater, but the portion size was ridiculously tiny), nor did I ask for butter or parmesan cheese. I mention this because I was surprised at the lack of attention or care given to the meal I had ordered, especially after explaining that I had a cold and wanted something simple, easy-to-digest, and filling to eat. Other than these two instances, the stay at Sheen Falls Lodge was stellar. Don't miss the Birds of Prey -- truly outstanding!
