Best Western Plus Downtown Tacoma

The room was very cold when we arrived. It took a long time to warm up.

Easy to get to. Lots of parking.

The smell of the room.

Both elevator were out of service for 2 nights of my stay. Had to go up/down stairs multiple times.

Location.

Elevator broken, electric outlets didn’t work, phone in room didn’t’ work, no sheets or blankets for pull out bed. For 250 dollars a night, i would expect a bit more.

The property was located perfectly right next to the Tacoma Dome. We were able to walk to the event there.

The elevators were out 3 of the 4 days we were there. We were on the 6th floor, so we had to navigate those every day and carry luggage down as well. My husband is 80 so this was a real inconvenience. Also there was no water pressure in our shower. It took a long time to rinse shampoo out of my hair.

I like that the garage is hotel access only and is locked. If you're doing things in the area it's convenient. Crispy bacon.

The room thermostat doesn't work, the bathroom has a fan you can't turn off and is loud like a sound machine; kept bathroom door closed. The room is located by an outside light that shines in window, train nearby honks horn at 3 am for a long time. The elevators are sketchy; our friend got stuck in one for 45 mins and the fire department came. The doors are not labeled for stairs properly or where the doors that lead to garage; a lot of guessing which door goes where-fire safety hazard. Homeless drug users around the corner

The staff was friendly, and everything was clean.

The elevators were not working, and folks were actively stuck in the elevators upon our arrival. As a disabled person, I had to navigate two flights of stairs, which was extremely painful and difficult. The toilet in the room was clogged, and staff had to run up a plunger. The toilet continued to clog, and we were unable to use it.

The hotel was nice and clean, and the breakfast was great with plenty of options. Staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, we had significant issues with hot water on the 5th floor. There was no hot water in our original room, so we had to change rooms. The new room keys didn’t work initially, which added more delay. Even after switching rooms, only 1 out of 3 showers had hot water, and it took about 15 minutes for the bathroom sink to get warm. Overall, the property itself is clean and comfortable, but the hot water issue and room change made the stay frustrating. I hope this gets addressed for future guests.
