The Grand Hotel

The food was excellent as were the serving staff . All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We liked the ambience of the hotel. Easy parking . Greatlocation.

The food menus had not changed since we stayed there a couple of months ago. The Phoenix room was disappointingly small and too warm. Tho the staff did provide a fan. There was little difference in price from this room to the superior double room which we also booked! !!. There wasn't a fridge in the double superior room so our water was rather warm.

LOCATION IS EXCELLENT

NOT VALUE FOR MONEY BREAKFAST IS THE WORST WE HAVE EVER HAD

Excellent but needs to open earlier if you have to catch an early morning flight.

No sky tv in rooms

I had a SUPER meal which wasn’t past of the package. The staff were very pleasant. The location, my room overlooked the Marina. I was upgraded to an executive room The chocolate box

The shower gel dispenser didn’t work. Too late to contact room service while showering. Hopefully it will be attended to for the next occupant. There were no herbal teas in the room. The TV had very few channels. No BBC or Channel 4 although they came up on the options. The breakfast was very disappointing. Very poor for the cost. I’ve had much better when I paid 1/3 of what I paid for at the Grand. Even hospitals have wheatabix.

The hotel is wonderful! I was genuinely touched to find a birthday card and a box of chocolates in my room to celebrate my birthday. It was a very thoughtful gesture and made my stay feel special. The room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and a good selection of towels. The only small issue was that bathrobes and slippers had been forgotten, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are excellent. I especially appreciated that the staff carefully checked that everyone was wearing a swimming cap in the pool area. This level of attention to hygiene and rules is great. The hotel grounds offer many cozy places where you can enjoy a cocktail or a coffee and simply relax. The restaurant, however, was a disappointment for me. It looks much more modest than the rest of the hotel. Although the dishes were presented beautifully, I did not find the food particularly tasty. To me, it felt more like diet food, lacking flavor. In addition, the atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening was not very cozy, so we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return.

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are amazing. Breakfast was diverse and good. We had 3 rooms spread out over the various parts of the hotel- 1 was new and lovely. 1 was ok a bit worn. 1 was nice with a sea view but impossible to get to (had to take 2 separate elevators and walk a hallway in between).

The staff upon our arrival were not friendly. We had 3 rooms booked but they couldn’t find the reservation- made it seem like we were out of luck. Then they could not get the rooms together or even near each other even though we are a family. We did not feel welcomed. You are only provided 1 key and cannot operate the room lights or the elevator without the key making it extremely inconvenient if more than 1 person occupies the room. The pool has many rules and we also did not feel welcomed there.

The bars were fine and leisure facilities were excellent

When arrived to check in a copy of my credit card was requested on the understanding this was for charging goods to my room ,as booking .com had already taken full costs from my credit but when we got to the bar only to fine a further copy of our card was requested so back to the front desk to have this done In the evening Tried to contact front desk as my wife was feeling cold in our room due to cancer treatment,but the room phone was not working so I had to contact the hotel via my mobile only to be told no heating after 10pm so they arrived with a portable heater Then the room tv would not work ,the night porter came and found the remote controller needed new batteries For over £300 a night I found the price was excessive for room we were supplied The first night we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant but unfortunately my wife had a bad experience with her meal but with out asking this cost was deducted from our bill As this was our first away break for nearly 2 years due to my wife’s illness we were very disappointed
