Athineon Hotel

We loved this little gem of a hotel. The location makes it a short walk to Rhodes Old Town and Mandraki Harbor. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the pool was quite nice. There is also a connecting convenience store that made it easy to stock up on travel snacks. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended for a night or two!

This hotel was very nice. The rooms were good size, with balcony and nice views. The staff was helpful with everything we needed. They don't supply pool towels and don't want you to use the room towels at pool. I found that very weird as everywhere I have stayed world wide towels are supplied at pool. We enjoyed the location next to the old city.

We stayed for 10 days in June 15 and were very pleased with the hotel and location. It's about 5 minutes walk to the old town with its many restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel were excellent, very professional and courtious. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast included cerials, juices, fried bacon, sausages and eggs as well as the usual bread, cakes, cold meats, cheeses and fruit. We ate at the hotel restaurant too and this was reasonably priced and had a good choice. Overall, it was excellent value for money and we would recommend it highly.

I selected the hotel on the Expedia system .we were nt disappointed .. marvelous location, We arrived from Marmaris, Turkey by Yesil Catamaran and we could easily walk to the hotel from the customs/arrival area. I travel 6 months/ yr on business ... so hotel stay should be a bus man's holiday .. but not this hotel..we had the family in two 2 bdrm suites .... marvelous view of the harbor, excellent hotel service .. we would stay there again !

My husband and I only stayed for one night, we were well looked after. A lovely clean light hotel. The room was excellent and comfortable. We had supper in the hotel and it was so good and the head waiter was a delight evening the chef came and asked how we had enjoyed our meal, so that will tell you how good it was. The following morning the receptionist ordered us a taxi to take us to the docks to continue our journey. If we need to stay overnight in Rhodes again, this hotel will be our first choice.

Loved this hotel and would recommend it and it is ideal for groups of girls. Very close to Old town All staff are great especially Costa and Johnie in the bar

Staff at hotel helpful and pleasant. A few little things not good....there was fruit left in the room for us which we did not eat as it looked somewhat old and unappealing. One orange went mouldy and it took four days for the cleaning staff to remove the fruit! Also the gratis wine miniatures must have been years old, as were some of the Liptons tea bags which you could tell from the packaging. Breakfast was ordinary, some parts good others poor. There was little fresh fruit, which for a place like rhodes seemed extremely penny pinching, and the Orange juice from a dispenser was not what you'd expect from a four star hotel. The bacon was tired, as in most European hotels so not a surprise, though the eggs were ok. Coffee was good, and plenty of choice with tea. Surely, it is possible to have marmalade for toast at breakfast, not jams etc.

Super nice apartment style suite with a great view. Great location.

Stayed here after the afternoon ferry ftom Kos. Roomy and well equipped corner suite with a view of the port. Good buffet breakfast.

Hotel staff very friendly and helpfully. Would highly recommend this hotel
