Great sea views over the harbour. Staff were very helpful around the pool area and offered good food and drink options. Only a 5 minute walk to the heart of Rhodes Old Town and 10 minutes to the New town. Rooms are big with living area, kitchen and large bedroom with sea view balcony. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel. The staff is extremely hospitable. Johnny behind the bar treats you like family. Can't say enough about him! He was our go to vacation planner. It was a treat to spend time and talk to him the evenings! And Kosta in the morning was very kind. Always made sure we had a great start in the mornings. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are right outside the old town - just a two minute walk. It's near the beaches in Rhodes Town, the ferry boats, and a ten minute drive from Faliraki. There is always parking on the street. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the old town of Rhodes, less than 5 minutes walk from the one of the gates. The staff were very friendly and would organise trips and taxis for you if you needed them to. The two bedroom apartment we had was very large and would potentially sleep 5, thought the kitchen facilities were sadly lacking,only 3 forks, 4 knives, 4 teaspoons, 5 soup spoons and a bread knife. There was no kettle or toaster and we had to boil water in a pan to make a cup of tea or coffee. However, that is the only downside to the apartment, it was spotlessly clean and the towels were changed daily. Fruit and wine was left for us when we checked in which was a welcoming touch. The pool area could do with a bit of TLC, some of the sun beds were rickety to say the least, the back rests having broken on some and some which were a bit lop sided! The breakfast was nothing special, certainly not worth 10 euros but food and drink from the pool bar was good, service was excellent. The pool got a bit busy with children and inflatables but as it was school holiday time when we were there that was to be expected. There is a TV in the lounge area and also a pool table, a table tennis table just outside the lounge was good. The sauna wasn't working when we were there but it was so hot I don't think we would have used it! Our flight home wasn't until the evening and we were able to use our room towels to shower by the pool before we left.

Athineon Hotel is exceptional. You could use the hotel as a holiday destination and never leave during your stay. The pool and surrounds are adequate and tranquil. hotel food is good and inexpensive, rooms have kitchenettes with a grocery store onsite, there is a basic gym and games area. Outside the hotel its a nice walk to the old town of Rhodes. An adventure into an extensive history lesson and amazing spectacles. The new town offers modern shops, the port offers day trips (Lindos is recommend ) and the local beaches are fantastic. The staff are exceptionally friends and helpfull. Any problem is dealt with immediately with a smile. This hotel cannot be faulted.

It was clean and the bed was very comfy. The old town was only a minutes walk away and there was a big supermarket 5 minutes walk from the hotel

All the staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful from the beginning to the end of our 2 week holiday. The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk of Rhodes Old Town, and it's shops and restaurants. There are also other good restaurants closer the the hotel, and a very good restaurant at the hotel. There is a large supermarket 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So the hotel is ideal for a holiday at Rhodes Old Town.

Hotel location good for getting to Old Town bus station, ferry, sights, beaches and shops. Hotel clean comfortable, staff polite and helpful. Pool is clean with nice bar and sun bathing area. We had an apartment with spacious bedroom and sitting room with wide balcony. Apartments on coast side have an amazing view of the port, the view over the old town and the sea. Only criticism I need a gluten and dairy free diet and find it safer to prepare my own food but kitchen has only minimal equipment, two ring electric cooker, no oven, microwave or toaster, no chopping board or anything to prepare vegetables or salad. I also found it very difficult to buy free from food anywhere within walking distance. Small supermarket on docks sold a few basic but expensive items. Suggest you take what you can with you.

The location was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room size was very large and we enjoyed the balconies off the bedrooms. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Especially if you are coming from Marmaris to Rhodes for a night or two.

This hotel is satisfactory in most every way with the exception that it is located on the south side of the old city of Rhodes. The immediate surroundings are in a part of town that is transitioning into commercial and residential. Also the nature of the commercial activities include numerous strip clubs.

Clean spacious hotel great for families. Great location very close to old town as well as new. Close to port, everything walking distance. Pool was good but got very busy at times and hard to find a chair. Mini market next door which was convenient.
