Athineon Hotel

We loved our room looking out over the harbour. A new view every day and the ships coming and going. It is a great location by the old town but not on the middle of the big tourist areas. The staff were friendly. Excellent value.

Stayed for 4 nights, two adults and two children. My wife and I really liked this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was good for exploring the old town. Kids loved the pool. Yes, if you’re really fussy the rooms may be slightly dated, but the rest of the hotel makes up for it. I would stay there again if visiting Rhodes in the future.

Staff at front desk were friendly and accommodated all questions with pleasant rapport.

The hotel is in a great location so close to the Old Town but the property is in need of renovation. It’s worn down. The bathroom was so uncomfortable and we kept having leaking issues from the faucet. It’s a hotel close to a beach and no way for you to wash your own clothes or nearby services to do yourself así found inconvenient. The staff is nice, front desk very nice and professional but the facility itself is a older hotel. However if your looking for convenience to be close to old town and hotel room amenities and look doesn’t need to be updated then go for it.

Bar tender at late night check in was fantastic. In the AM, they were very eager for us to get out of room so it could be cleaned. We would have liked a later check out given very late arrival. Overall a nice experience.

Spacious room, comfortable large bed, nice pool with wooden decking, very friendly bar staff Costa, Jonny and Panos. Cosy hotel and convenient getting from room to pool. Good location very short walk to old town restaurants and Spar not far. Only negatives odd things like american coffee and things in shop a little expensive and bar snack menu could do with more variety.

Kind people at reception and in the bar. Close to the old city and only15 minutes from the quiet beach.

Good sized apartment with balcony although it really could do with a bit of a refurbishment. Cooking utensils were ok but only two hotplates makes any cooking limited. There was a kettle, coffee machine and fridge. A microwave would be a great addition! Pool is good although again the sun beds need updating. The bar area is good and the evening bar tender is fabulous. Breakfast was ok but extremely repetitive. Tinned peaches every single day so some variety here would be a big improvement. Location is great close to the harbour and Old Town with its numerous bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Easily walkable in ten minutes. We hired a car for 3 days and bikes for 1 day and thought we saw all of the main island attractions as a result.
