Athineon Hotel

Good location. Large apartment, but the kichen was not stocked well if you wanted to cook anything. There were no cleaning supplies so you couldn't wash your dishes and housekeeping didn't wash them either. The breakfast was good and the young lady who worked in the breakfast area was very nice, so was the bartender. The front desk people were indifferent. The hotel is dated, and the carpet in the hallways were very worn, and appeared to have mold on them.

The hotel is in a great location for who wants to visit Rhodes Old Town. Good area for walking and restaurants too. It's also relatively close to the airport, so it's convenient if your flight arrives late and you decide to continue your journey the next day. Rooms are large and convenient for a family that wants privacy. We didn't use the kitchen, but it seems to have what it is needed for quick meals. The breakfast is very simple, not really meeting the standard of a 4 star hotel or even a 3 star hotel. Although spacious and comfortable (quality bed and pillows, except for those who sleep in the living room), the rooms are quite outdated and require maintenance. The bathroom is small, especially the bathtub with shower and curtain. The pool area is very nice, but be aware that it can only be used during very restricted hours (10am-6pm). We were hoping to use it after the tours, but we didn't have time. You can park for free on the street. The best thing about the hotel was the pool bar. Extremely well made drinks, great quality and at a very attractive price (on average EUR 6).

Excellent staff. From Reception to Maintenance, Cleaning Ladies, Barmen, Restaurant Staff. Local beach is NOT a beach, it's a coast line. 20 minutes walk to Zephyros or 30 minutes walk to Eli Beach (or 7 euros cab).

Second time staying here. Very nice and professional staff. Good facilities, particularly pool. Very accommodating of early arrival and late departure. Close to all ferry ports and old town.

A close 5 minute walk from the pirt and clise to the okd town with great restaurants nearby.

Less than a 5 minute walk to Rhodes Town where there's bars, restaurants, shops and night life. Right across from the port where you take the ferries to other parts of Greece/Turkey. 25 mins from airport. Clean big rooms and a really nice bar and pool. Woman at front desk was super helpful and pleasant.

Spacious apartment near the city walls. Near to the port but quite a walk to Elli beach. We liked staying here but there were some flaws. The best aspect was the large pool, although it wasn't heated, and the pool bar set up was good. However, food options were not available after the pool shut in the evening.The view from the balcony was of the pool and other apartments, some not fully built. Housekeeping was largely restricted to a change of towels and emptying the bins. A strange aspect was having nothing other than sheets, which is fine for summer but a bit cold in autumn. On the last day we were allowed to leave luggage in the foyer but there was no access to our room, despite the hotel being practically empty.
