Athineon Hotel

Lovely hotel within easy walking distance to the old town and harbour area. Lots of restaurants & bars to choose from. Only downside is that is next to a busy road so a bit traffic noise. Not really an issue though.

This hotel is ideally suited just outside of the Old Rhodes Town walls. It has seen better days, but is extremely clean. The staff were five-star in every way. Happy to help, and always with a smile. We found it very convenient walking into restaurants,And the other Rhodes town attractions. Would highly recommend.

Just back from a 1 week last minute rearranged trip Due to COVID and what a find.Great location just outside the old town 15 min walk approx. All staff were very friendly and helpful and have Worked together and been at the hotel for many years. Room was a great size for two people. All areas of the hotel were spotless. Appropriate ppe was worn by all staff. The pool was beautiful and was an excellent size and exceptionally clean. Breakfast offered good value for money which we were happy with. Some people may expect more variety but are they prepared to pay more? The other guests were of mixed age group and some of them were repeat business over many years. As stated all staff were extremely friendly and helpful but we must give a special mention to Johnny the bar man. He really went out of his way to provide knowledgeable advice on local restaurants, local wine, beaches, bus trips and the history of the island. He also Served a fantastic cosmopolitan cocktail to my partner. When returning to Rhodes this will be our first choice. We Will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Brilliant hotel. Bar and food value for money was good. Room bins emptied daily and towells were changed every couple of days. We will definately return to this hotel when visiting Rhodes again

Hotel is excellently located, near to the main tourist port and just outside the walls of the old town. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We were only there for 1 night, but I would definitely stay there again when next in Rhodes. The staff at the front desk were efficient and professional and there was good evidence throughout the hotel of covid 19 preventative measures. The hotel room was apartment style and was very spacious, which suited us well as we were a family of 2 adults and 1 teenager. For the price we paid, it represented excellent value for money. There is a nice swimming pool, which unfortunately we didn't have time to use.

I would say value for money was great. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere by pool with friendly open bar. Nice and light buffet breakfast included in my price deal. 5 minutes walk into entrance of Rhodes old town which is beautuful, 20 minutes stroll to lively Eli beach which is also beautuful at night. Rooms are actually a 1 bedroom apartment with small kitchenette, seperate lounge and large balcony. Great for a couple. Super king sized very comfortable bed. Chrisp white linen and towels with dressing gown included. Yes the decor is tired in places and could fo with a bit of moderrnising and the furnishings are basic but hey you will have an extra £500 to enjoy your holiday compared to a modern modern hotel. Its a no brainer. If you want 5 star pay for it as this isnt but you always get what you pay for. One tip is prices vary on booking sites you must check all of them before booking. My deal was fantastic 👍👍👍

The property was in a great location for the old city and a walk to the new town. Staff were very helpful especially Mika, John and Kostas. I would recommend this hotel and would book again when returning to Rhodes
