Athineon Hotel

Good location, ten minute walk into old town. Great pool for those days you just want to lounge about. Room was very spacious.

Good all round hotel,not 5 star i would give it a low 4.Great views of the harbour,clean comfortable room,nice bar area and reception.Fantastic location to enter the old town.Staff are friendly

Very close to d town 5 min walk, very close to port, quiet allowing you to sleep at night. Modern facilities with excellent pool and bar facilities. It's a full service hotel with very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Also has s billiard table, table tennis table and sauna available at a surcharge (not expensive). I want to also acknowledge Gianni the bar man in the afternoon. Excellent service, very friendly and accomodating. All the staff were great but Gianni was exceptional. I would definitely recommend and will go back to this hotel. The only recommendation is they need a portable clothes line to dry clothes. Cheers.

Great hotel. Excellent service. The rooms were large and modern and offered a wonderful view of the harbor. Perfect location if you are arriving from Marmaris by ferry. Walking distance to the pier and to old town. The neighborhood was a little dirty and there were a few refugees camping across the street in the park. Other than that we had a great time. The pool was large and they even stayed open late for my son.

Nice hotel only 2 minutes walk from the old town and overlooking the harbour with great views of cruise ships stopping for the day and opposite small park, very friendly helpful staff,lovely pool,small supermarket for essentials and plenty of free parking outside.

Staff are really helpful and friendly Is really close to the old town. Food in the restaurant is good cocktail is great.

The hotel was a little big bigger than what we are used to for Greek holidays but realised that with a town location something had to give. Staff were excellent and after a long overnight flight via Athens our room was ready early, which was a major plus point. We took the "two bed" to mean two bedrooms but in fact my daughter had a single sofa bed in the lounge area but still enough space away from "the parents". View of the ferry port and sea was a bonus if you neglect the petrol station in the foreground (great sunset over the town). Little noise despite a busy road and the rooms are reasonably sound-proofed. The pool was a little busy and a definite lack of parasols - only two. However this did ensure we got out more although usually our summer holiday is relaxing by the pool and this was difficult at times as it was busy but it all goes with the territory of a bigger hotel. The old town is extremely close and it is a good base for exploring. From the airport you would need a taxi or shared transport as the local bus station would be a bit of a walk.
