Hampton Inn Geneva

Nice stay but several restaurants we were interested in were closed…..

The front desk clerk spent more time away from the desk than at it. We have to get the lady from the kitchen to find her so we could check out. We waited a long time. She was abrupt and had a sour attitude

The hotel was very conveniently situated and had access to main roads. The water from the bathroom spigot was almost nonexistent.

Old building that needs updating!

My husband booked this hotel because he believes in the Hampton/Hilton brand. This hotel is poorly maintained and I will never stay in another Hampton. There was mold in the shower and rust stains. The shower pan has stains in it when you step on it to take a shower.. it flexes. I just felt gross staying in this hotel. The sink cabinet in the bathroom was missing a piece of the leg. The furniture in the room was worn out and needs refurbishing. Our room looked out onto the railroad tracks. The train blows its horn at 8:00am! My husband and I had to laugh at the train outside our room. It was like the stay from hell! We did not try the breakfast at the hotel because I just wanted to spend the least amount of time in the hotel. Would not recommend this place. The only positive to this hotel is its location to Geneva downtown.

I find it hard to believe that our room would be the only one that seemed to have so many issues. For the price we paid for the room, that we booked for 2 nights and only stayed 1, we expected more that’s for sure. And yes we left after 1 night and still paid for 2 even after the front desk girl asked why we were checking out, and then we were charged for 3 nights according to my credit card and the receipt emailed to me. Took another 2 days to actually get a hold of someone from the hotel. The girl claims she fixed it however ithe credit has yet to show up on our credit card.

This dated inn is really starting to show its age. From the disabled pool and spa to the worn and damaged furniture, it's hard to overlook the premium price you're paying for proximity to the lake. And it's a shame, because we enjoyed a view of Seneca Lake from our third-floor room. Decor is tasteful. Most staff are trying to be accommodating. But you may want to wait for them to get their act together before staying here.

Good location.

It was not clean enough. Old carpet everywhere. I was not aware the hotel was pet friendly. We saw a dog on our floor, which made us feel uncomfortable because our kids are allergic to dogs.
