Breakfast was excellent. Beach was excellent.

Place was supposed to be smoke free. We could smell cigaret smell from another room. Also our room smelled like previous guests were smoking in room.

Our stay was excellent! From the staff who were helpful & friendly, the rooms were quant & very clean ! We had dinner & lunch the next day & both were very tasty. Overall so much fun with my girlfriends. Thanks Sherwood Inn

Beautiful setting in the heart of Muskoka

Healthy hearty breakfast, excellent coffee and fresh fruit. Very agreeable staff all over, they went out of their way to accommodate requests. Serene and wood like property, large enough for privacy spots, lake front , beach, paths, fire pit, patios and relaxation. Onsite restaurant with large variety for all tastes. Close to Port Carling, boutique shopping and icecream stop, museum and parks.

Noisy and drafty ceiling air conditioning in main building. Need more vegan breakfast options, hummus, spreads and plant based yoghurt, cheese.

Location and accommodation set up is beautiful.

The room we had was tired and felt old, but decently clean

When initially pulling into the property we were pleasantly surprised. The room was quite dark upon entrance and the bed side was just ok no TV no microwave. The shower was not convenient no shelving for shampoo or soap. Being in such a high end prestige area of Ontario and travelling all over the world it is disheartening to see such little effort. Also, I enquired about the spa when I arrived and was told it is not part of the hotel. I’m confused as it is on the website and so inaccessible. The first night dinner was just so frustrating nothing came out together hot and waited for a lengthy amount of time the musician on the deck was great thankfully as the staff just saying we are busy and had 7 different people to our table when they did eventually make it. Also very hard to communicate with and never once did we feel welcome. We did think maybe we should stay one more day they gave us a room elsewhere then took it away because someone else last minute was going to pay more. We went to the lounge that evening before any customers arrived at either restaurant for dinner played cards asked for menus from both restaurants. Our water was never filled and no one came back to see what we wanted to order so we left and went to another great little pub as we also did for breakfast that am. Ultimately if you are not member of club links it seems that you are treated like a 2nd class citizen sadly. Will not recommend this place in the future and will communicate this to others.

It was a very short stay as we only came up for one night as we were attrnding a show in Bala....however, we LOVED it so much we are already planning a fall getaway and summer vacation there next year too...
