The grounds of the hotel are enormous, almost palatial and the room was incredibly spacious with a lovely view, but slightly run down. The air conditioning wasn't very cool, the controls for the jacuzzi didn't work and the door didn't lock Ercolano is a less affluent part of Italy but lying between Pompeii and Herculean makes it an interesting place to visit.

HKAfter a hot day in Naples, the pool is excellent. Breakfast is lovely. About 3 blocks towards Herculaneum is a very tasty family run pizza restaurant. Staff were polite and helpful.
We had 2 rooms and both showers leaked. Room tea and coffee making facilities would be a nice addition.
What a great staff, friendly and helpful. This is an amazing property though it needs some maintenance and some TLC. Great location in the old part of town and very close to Herculium. View of the Med on one side, view of Visuvius on the other.

CAOur room was spacious and bright, with a view out to the sea from the west window and a very large terrace off of glass doors on the south side. The hotel is in an 18th century villa, with extensive grounds, worthy of a stroll. The breakfast buffet is included with the room and has quite a good selection of items. You can sit indoors or outside in the courtyard, and it's a nice start to the day. The location is a short walk to the excavation site and to shops and restaurants. We ended up with an unallocated day, so spent several hours in the courtyard reading or at the pool, swimming, reading and just having a "down day" and enjoying the ambience and amenities of the hotel. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area. We were originally planning on taking the train from Pompeii to visit the excavation, but I spotted this hotel, and wanted to stay here, so we split our accommodation between Pompeii and Ercolano. It was worth relocating for, and a walkable distance from the train station.
The air conditioning in our room did not work properly, and the temperature was mid-30s. Staff were helpful in setting up a portable air conditioner, but it did not last the night, so our sleeps were not as good as if we'd had air conditioning, or the weather had been cooler. I don't imagine this is an ongoing issue, though.

Hôtel delabré. Rideaux déchirés, douche délabrée non éclairée ( enfin si avec un lampadaire…), lampes de chevet qui ne fonctionnent pas, télé minuscule, petit déjeuner quelconque avec café froid et serveuse peu aimable, piscine sale y compris dans ses abords
