Hotel Chichen Itza

It's very close to chichen itza

We booked this hotel, but due to electrical issues they moved us to their sister hotel that is located in the Chichen Itza property. The hotel was wonderful and the staff we fantastic. The restaurant was excellent, I highly recommend the Cochinita Pibil, it was excellent.

Attention, nous avons été surclassés et admis au Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows. L’expérience était incroyable. Le bâtiment principal de cet hôtel fait face aux ruines de Chichen Itza, plus exactement l’observatoire (le « caracol »), et borde un des cenotes du site archéologique. Les prestations sont luxueuses (chambre très spacieuse avec deux grands lits, boiseries et marbre, énorme baignoire d’où nous avons assisté au somptueux coucher de soleil sur le caracol), piscine gigantesque, restaurant avec un menu délicieux et copieux à 20€, serveurs attentionnés, bon petit-déjeuner inclus. Le transport vers le site est inclus. Auparavant, l’hôtel bénéficiait de sa propre entrée. Le reste de l’hôtel est un parc superbement arboré (manguiers, citronniers, avocatiers…), avec des bungalows et deux suites créées spécialement pour Pavarroti pour son concert à Chichen Itza en 1997 et Placido Domingo en 2008. Pour 150€ la nuit (les prix devraient augmenter à moyen terme car l’hôtel a réouvert depuis peu et est encore peu fréquenté), le Mayaland permet d’accéder au site dès son ouverture, voire rester en soirée pour assister au son et lumière (du mercredi au dimanche)

We got to the hotel and they had no electricity. It was no problem they have a sister property the Mayaland and had a room ready for us there at no additional cost. I have to say it was extraordinary and if we ever go back i would consider staying there again.

Chambre confortable. Personnel agréable.

Nous pensions avoir un accès direct au site de Chichen Itza à pied. En fait nous avons du prendre le tranport de l’hôtel, 10 min en voiture (longue queue pour avoir accès au parking). La piscine ne nous semblait pas propre.
