Bedford Inn

Comfortable, perfect Location, pretty, wonderful staff.

Arrival was very confusing. There was no one there to greet us. We actually almost left, after a 3 1/2 hour drive to get there. Was confusing, and not all that welcoming.

Breakfast and afternoon tea at the sister hotel was excellent, loved the communal areas at the Bedford, that it was beautifully decorated in keeping with its age and that you could park outside despite being within walking distance of town and beach.

The Inn was clean, comfortable and cozy. The room was a good size & the bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The breakfast for both days was delicious. The staff, Ashley, was extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable of the Inn & area. This was such an enjoyable trip we will be doing back int he summer.

It was a great location for us. The shower and linens were very nice. We really enjoyed our leisure breakfast and Ashley was a wonderful hostess. She went out of her way to accommodate my dietary restrictions without a blink of an eye. She also provided us with many suggestions of restaurants and things to do. She gets an Aplus.

In the room, there was nothing comfortable to sit in. I was going to read at night, as I had difficulty sleeping, but if I tried to sit in the chair I wouldn’t be able to get up, without waking my husband.

It was close in proximity to everything.

Breakfast all three days was excellent..bake goods incredible. host on Friday morning even made our reservation at Tishas for that evening....

Had to walk four blocks for breakfast when bed and breakfast at the same location was expected. Turned out the Bedford Inn has been bought up by the Queen Victoria Inn and others and is now more of a wide-spread campus than a simple bed and breakfast. Very confusing while they transition and staff learn new roles. Wish we had been told not to expect the same as last year since last year had been a true bed and breakfast which we enlisted. The new campus may be completely fine when the dust settles and when people can be accurately told what to expect in the future but this was NOT what we expected when we made our reservation and we over heard numerous complaints while there which are attributable to all new system that has not yet settled in. Disappointed.
