Bed bugs in our bed.
It was truly unbelievable how dilapidated, dirty, and disgusting this motel was. From dodgy stains on the sheets and mattress protector, to broken furniture under the stairs, to non-working lights, we moved to a second room that wasn't much better. The floors were filthy, the bathroom tiles were breaking off at the edges, the electrical outlet box was coming out of the wall, and the sheets were clearly cheap consumer from Amazon, plus they were so heavily scented with detergent/softener that my skin started to itch within minutes. I guess I should be grateful they washed them recently? It's clear that this was formerly a budget motel that was never maintained when ownership changed. The manager didn't even care to be on premises when we checked out at 7:30 am. Honestly, a zoning inspector should take a second look at the place; it's a hazard.
Many questionable stains and a few things were broken. (The curtains, lock on the door, and sprinkler system). If I wasn't so desperate for a place to stay I would have left immediately. Unfortunately every hotel was booked within a 20 mile radius
This place (Relax Inn) was so bad forfeited the cost and did not even check in.
Great for cyclists
If you have no other option than to stay at the Relax Inn, reconsider. Smoky, dirty, dusty room, where not even the mirror above the sink was clean after the last guest who used it vigorously brushed their teeth. If we hadn't been riding across New York state on bicycles, and there was another room available within 50km, we would have left immediately. The door looked like it had been kicked in and shoddily repaired. We were also charged $5 per bike to bring our bikes into the already-filthy room (no other safe storage option was provided) while no other hotel on our 10 day trip

THE PRICES IS CHEAPER THAN ALL IN THE AREA
The manager of this hotel is scum. He was unbelievably rude and angry and nasty when I showed up for absolutely no reason. It was like he was deranged. I ended up having to call the police because he wouldn’t check me in even though I told him I booked the room online. He told me he didn’t care and that I should go to Expedia and cancel but I couldn’t because it was the same day as my check-in and they wouldn’t allow it. I had to put a complaint in with my credit card company and go through the process of reversing the charge, because even though this man didn’t check me into the hotel, he still put the charge through and charged me for the room! This man should not be in charge of anything like a hotel, or any type of business dealing with the public!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Property was very run down, even for a lower priced motel. Rooms pictures on the website must have been taken years ago. On the plus side, the room was clean and towels and linens were fresh and clean.
