Little bummed about some porch construction

Very quiet at night...we had a good sleep/very good king bed. Breakfast was an unexpected bonus, varied choices and quite adequate for us to then hit the highway. Nice bathroom. The inn is just up the road from the main restauarnt/shopping "main" street, only several minutes walk.

Location was great, short walk to Main Street. Hotel was charming, if a little ‘frayed’ in places.

Some torn wallpaper in our room, air conditioner was a bit noisy.

Very soft, lumpy mattress and flat pillows. Probably all were 30 years old. Boring continental breakfast. Looked old and uninspired.

Excellent and friendly check in experience. We got king size room in the main house and the bed was super comfortable. We actually did not use the airconditioner and appreciated the small room electric fan. Bathroom was also very spacious. The parlor in main room, offer to use glassware, common areas for coffee, tea and parlor games in both buildings makes this a wonderful inn.

This is a lovely, beautifully maintained, century old resort hotel 2 blocks from the downtown shopping area in Montpelier. There’s breakfast was quite good and the dining room is comfortable and spacious. On site parking is well located. There are several nice covered outdoor seating areas around. The room was comfortable and roomy. There’s a community fridge in a common room.

Issues were hopefully all temporary. The front porch was closed and under repair. The bar isn’t open any more and only breakfast is available in the dining room. There isn’t an elevator.

The pancakes with real maple syrup and the mini quiche for breakfast, fresh clementines, etc. Kelly was at the front desk in the afternoon and the next morning at 7.30 am making breakfast! She was very helpful, friendly and reliable.
