Loved it! Everyone was so friendly. The views were amazing. Will definitely book again!

Wow! What a gem! We loved our stay! The farm is very charming, there are alpagas you can feed apples to, there are two cute and friendly cats. The surroundings are beautiful, with views on the mountains. You feel very isolated and serene. The staff is very friendly! The breakfasts were delicious. The restaurant at hill farm was simply outstanding, with high quality food! We also took a walk on the river trail, which was really beautiful. The only con is that the mattress were a little too firm. Some guests were there for their seventh time and we have no trouble understanding why. We will definitely come back! We don't want to stay anywhere else in Vermont!

Excellent overall

I really would love to give this place a 5 rating. In many aspects it was. However when we arrived in the evening it seemed like everything closed at 8pm according to the hostess who was a bit short with us. When we mentioned we were going for a quick swim the hostess was insistent everything closed at 8. It felt like we couldn’t do anything after 8pm so we just sat in our room with the TV on low. The A/C was also really loud and annoying. Thankfully we were able to open the windows. The great things about this place is the location and the staff in the morning were friendly and warm. Complete opposite of the night before. All in all I would stay there again and hope for different staff at check in.

We travel a lot, all over the world. We've never experienced a warmer, happier, gentler atmosphere than at Hill Farm. Every single staff member -- from reception to kitchen to gardeners -- was cheerful, helpful, and kind. The physical premises and surroundings are gorgeous, but the overall feeling of welcome and care here are almost impossible to describe. This is an extraordinary place.

A bucolic oasis in Southern Vermont. What a treasure! Gorgeous and peaceful, we spent our afternoon on the lawns of Hill Farm picnicking, watching alpacas, and taking a moment to sit in peace surrounded by lush summer greenery. A rainy storm moved us to the gorgeous wrap-around porch where we sipped tea and pet kitties. At night we lounged in a beautiful and cozy sitting room playing board games with an evening coffee. In the morning we went on a trek down to their nature trial that runs adjacent to the Battenkill and provided us with a little workout. Hill Farm is beautiful. Shabby chic, with an emphasis on chic for sure, while staying true to the vibe of Southern Vermont. It's a great place to be in love. Take your honey here. We are already talking about going back.

This was probably one of the best stays I’ve had across all continents/vacations. The property is amazing, the service is world class.

Wonderful inn! Quiet pastoral setting. Welcomed by Trinity who was very personable and helpful. Room was cozy with premium linens and towels. Tiled shower. Small bar providing the basics. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the restaurant. Delicious appetizer and dinner (wood-fired pita with hummus and brisket entree). Sat at the bar as Olivia entertained us as she concocted her various cocktails. A very special dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!
