1898 Waverly Inn

You can't go wrong staying here. The staff are exceptional and the breakfast is amazing. Great Place, easy walk to downtown.

Hendersonville is a beautiful town with fun shops and an abundance of great restaurants. The Waverly was so charming with an amazing breakfast and delicious pimento cheese app at the cocktail hour. One night we enjoyed the cocktail hour in our room and the next two nights on the spacious front porch talking with other guests and Mike the owner. The staff and owners could not have been more accommodating and were very hospitable, friendly and warm. Loved our visit and will return soon, we hope!!

The staff was amazing, so welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts exceeded expectations, and the social hour each evening was an added bonus. The location was also great as it's walking distance to downtown.

The steps at the back of the house (from the parking lot) were a little steep for my 78 yo mother, but we were able to park on the side of the house and use the front steps which were much better and there was only a few of them.

We have stayed here multiple times and every time our experience was first class. Rooms are clean, staff are attentive and friendly, and location is perfect. 3 minute walk to downtown.

I took my wife to 1898 Waverly Inn for her birthday weekend and it was a relaxing visit. The Inn is ideally located close to Hendersonville's shops and restaurants, so we usually walked there (less than one mile each way). Our room was comfortable with good AC and a queen four-poster bed. The shower and toilet were new and efficient - the shower was huge with plenty of hot water. The sink was outside that room in the main bedroom, but still workable. The staff was friendly. We opted out of the breakfast because we wanted to explore downtown Hendersonville for food and coffee. The inn also is only a 20-minute drive to Sky Top Orchard where we picked apples and spent a morning. All in all, we are glad we chose this inn and hope to return.

Located within walking distance of downtown and lots of restaurants a short drive to family. Staff was friendly and helped us modify our reservation to include the breakfast. The breakfast was easy and delicious in the morning. Loved that we had the option to book a single night.

Everything about our stay at the 1898 Waverly Inn was absolutely wonderful. We live about 2.5 hours away and had never been to Hendersonville before, but based on the website, the Waverly Inn looked like the perfect spot for a getaway—and it truly was! From the moment we arrived, every staff member we met was warm and welcoming. The morning breakfasts were delicious, and the evening happy hours added a fun and relaxing touch to our days. The location is fantastic, too—just a short walk to downtown, where we enjoyed great meals and charming shops. We don’t often return to the same place twice, but my wife and I were just saying how we’d love to come back to Hendersonville—and we’ll definitely be staying at the Waverly Inn again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
