The Genevieve

The hotel was clean, and had wonderful amenities in the room. Staff was attentive. Breakfast was good but would not rate it as excellent. Evening desserts was store bought cookies, nothing to match the level of the hotel.

Everything! Small hotel, large rooms, no crowds for breakfast, social hour, dessert. Excellent staff, beautiful hotel. Interesting towns.

The Victor not open Mon & Tues, the two nights of our stay. The chairs in our room , though beautiful antiques, need to have the seat cushions refilled for comfort.

Terrific get away inn. Terrific little town.

Really loved our stay here! Beds and rooms were super comfortable and it's right in town so it's super easy to walk to all of Santa Ynez's shops and restaurants. Definitely arrive + check in in time for their wine hour if you can :)

We enjoy luxury & good food. The Inn provided the luxury and the town has several excellent places to eat, within easy walking distance, including the Victor right next door. We walked around the town, and did a bit of wine tasting and olive oil tasting, but relaxing with a book in the in-room hot tub, and in a wing-chair by the fireplace with a bottle of wine was the highlight for us. Included great breakfast and complimentary wine hour was a nice touch. We stayed last year, and enjoyed it so much, we did it again this year.

Liked room and amenities. TV difficult to use...some instructions would help. Very nice breakfast and gracious server. Good location within walking distance to shops. Easy parking. Agood overnight choice.

Magnificent! Everything about this hotel is wonderful, it is an underrated, first class, gem. The rates are very reasonable, making it an exceptional value. We stayed at two different hotels on this trip the Genevieve and another, both similarly rated. However, the Genevieve was miles ahead on every level. I’ve stayed at some very fine hotels, in many parts of the world and The Genevieve is right up with the best of them. The nice thing about this hotel, it has all that you would expect from a luxurious, first class accommodation, but without the pretentiousness. It is quiet, comfortable, a place you immediately feel relaxed. The architecture, grounds and interior are beautiful, private and accommodating. The only unfortunate thing, our stay was on the two days The Victor is closed, won’t make that mistake on our next visit.

What a lovely experience. Happy hour was fabulous the seating area outside and inside were cozy and beautiful. Using the wine passport was a perk added to all other perks like a delicious breakfast!
