Beautiful hotel, everyone was very nice and helpful

Wonderful location, friendly staff, gorgeous hotel! We have been before and The Genevieve will continue to be a favorite - we will be back! Make sure to eat at The Victor and then spend some time by the fire pits with a glass of wine - perfection!

Beautiful, clean and cosy hotel. Perfect location and offered bikes to get to the further wineries.

My husband and I went for an anniversary trip and absolutely loved our stay. The staff is very friendly. Lots of extras including complimentary breakfast, wine meet and greet and dessert hour.The room was spacious and clean and it is in a great location.

Great location, elegant and well appointed

We were really impressed and surprised by this stay. I booked it through TripAdvisor and I saw that it was reasonably priced and offered restaurant and bar, which marked all of my check boxes. Once we arrived, it was a little outside Solvang which was the focus point of my trip but it was so worth it! It’s a beautiful Victorian house, beautiful patio decorated with fire pits and patio lights. Great restaurants within walking distance and on site. Walking inside it was so luxurious and the attention to detail was beautiful. Light music of piano or light jazz (including in the room!) the room had a good sized balcony with table and two chairs to admire the pretty decorations outside and sounds of the fountain by the front door. Wish I could’ve taken more pictures. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable (feather down), big size room, fireplace and seating around it, tv, coffee maker, mini fridge, large bathroom with shower and tub, and two sinks one outside the bathroom and one inside which came in very handy. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. They also offered breakfast included, social hour (wine and charcuteries), dessert hour (cookies and coffee), a nice lounge area called “the library” with a fireplace and chess game.

Beautiful old historic hotel

We had heard wonderful things about this hotel, but have never stayed there. It is absolutely our new favorite! Our room was stunning. With 15 foot high ceilings, ornate moldings, luxurious furnishings, and bespoke details. We enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable French chairs in front of the fireplace. The bed was wonderful and we had a great night sleep. The bathroom is to die for with Carrera marble and inlaid mosaic flooring. The huge steam shower was also a treat, as well as the bathtub. What impressed me most was all of the extras that the hotel provides. We started with the complementary wine tasting and a full charcuterie layout on the sideboard in the afternoon. After dinner, we came back and found cookies laid out for dessert. They also have fire pit time in the garden. The complementary breakfast was exceptional. There was a nice layout of fruit, yogurt, and pastries, as well as a gluten-free granola. You then also can order off the menu. My husband had French toast and I had the chilaquiles with over-easy eggs, and they were both excellent. The location was fantastic. We had a lot of fun exploring Santa Ynez. The hotel is right around the corner from SY kitchen, which we’ve always loved. The hotel provides a wine tasting passport with many wineries offering complementary tastings and others offering two for one tastings. We chose the Artiste and had a wonderful time, exploring the gallery and enjoying the tasting. There was also quite a few cute boutiques that we shopped around during the day. I can’t recommend the hotel enough!
