Inn at Jackson

We recently stayed here and love the Town of Jackson. We've stayed at the Wentworth Inn and Christmas Farm Inn before, and I’d recommend either one of these next time! After paying $222.63 per night for a second-floor room and breakfast, it was not worth it. The breakfast choice was the same for two days and was just okay. I was expecting a better menu. Parking is in an open dirt lot, and you need to maneuver your car to find a space. There are stairs to climb to access the house, and an older couple had rented a room on the third floor, which required them to carry their bags up three flights. Contactless registration. The envelope was there with the name on it and the key to the room. Checking out was a basket to leave a key. No contact with any help, except for the waiter taking our breakfast order. Very impersonal! By far, I would not recommend this hotel.

Inn is in a great location, however, like similar recent reviews we had no interaction with any staff which is not the bed and breakfast experience we expected. Keys for all the guests were left in envelopes at the front desk, with instructions on how to find your room. We were there for three days and saw no innkeeper or staff (with the exception of a gruff server at breakfast). No warm welcome or help with local attractions or restaurants. We threw our key in a basket when we left, again, with no contact with anyone. Our room was small with a TV that did not work, a deadbolt that did not work, a very old uncomfortable mattress and a shower that dribbled lukewarm water (that was no fun!) If this was a hostel that was charging very low rates, all these things would be acceptable. If the innkeeper is trying to save money by not hiring any staff and not doing basic upkeep, then change the name to Hostel at Jackson and adjust the nightly rates, because this certainly was not an Inn. Such a shame.

Location was amazing! Very close to honeymoon covered bridge and not far from restaurants, but also on a quiet road, no noise from our room. We had room 14 (William) and it was bigger than it looked on the photos. Breakfast freshly made and a good size for us not too much. Delicious eggs and toast with sausage or bacon. Staff really helpful and we got some good tips on where to visit in the area from JP.

Completely absent innkeeper and staff(except for breakfast, which was ok but took forever), room keys were left for all guests in envelopes at the empty front desk,not the charming b&b experience we expected. Inn needs extensive renovations. Mattress old and uncomfortable, TV did not work, old bathroom with no water pressure. Could not solve any of these problem because there was NO staff! Bizarre! What a disappointment!

One of the best stays I had in a while. Beautiful setting, on an old house, with common space with sofas, a fireplace and even a chess board! The room was well decorated, spacious and impeccably clean. Even the pillows were very comfortable! And the shower was excellent. Just a perfect stay. Best cost-benefit in New England!

gross the place needs a total upgrade it not 3 star in any way. our room 'Robert Frost' had duct ape round the failing blinds , stained floor round the toilet, fireplace not cleende out, all sorts of issues with the electrics . just felt super scruffy and dirty. plus weirdly noisy. DONT STAY HERE. SUPER BAD VFM

made an exception for us.. very much appreciated
