"Comfortable and accommodating."

My room and bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side but sparkling clean. My breakfast was delicious with my request for gluten free beautifully accommodated. I arrived late and wanted to just nuke a frozen dinner and go to sleep and they told me to make myself at home which I did which was wonderful after 12 hours of driving. I was just passing through so I didn’t explore the location.

"Peaceful, wonderful and comfortable stay."

This is a wonderful property, very well maintained, super peaceful and comfortable, lovely staff and breakfast.

It's a little far from Shenandoah NP, which is what we were there for, but the drive is pleasant. Be prepared that places to eat around in the town are limited.

"The inn was a beautiful, restful and welcome retreat!"

Breakfast was delicious. Furnishings in bedroom and sitting room were just what we were looking for - beautifully tasteful. Bed so comfortable. Staff welcoming & helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The Inn is a beautifully renovated old mansion with modern facilities (e.g. air conditioning). Breakfast, which we normally eat very little, was excellent. We will be back.

"Heavenly respite"

Going to the Outer Banks from Cleveland area and want to break up that looong drive? Halfway point in Harrisonburg, VA you'll find the nicest B&B, The Friendly City Inn, located in a fabulous 1885 mansion near the center of town. Everything was top notch - welcome cookies (yum) water, sparkling water, lovely landscaped grounds, comfy seating inside and out on several porches and patios. The breakfast matched the surroundings, tasting as good as it looked.

"Can’t wait to go back!!!"

It was beautifully decorated and had super comfortable beds! My daughter has Celiac and the breakfast they made her was delicious and made her feel so special.
