"Nice historic home, lots of stairs, great views!"

6.0

It was very close to the festival we were attending.

No AC and only one tiny fan. Hot water took forever to come in the shower.

"Beautiful and charming getaway!"

9.0

Beautiful, charming, convenient location, and excellent communication from the staff.

The curtains didn’t block out enough light when needed, though not a deal breaker. Our private bathroom was located outside the room, but was stiff private which was good.

Charming old home in the center of town - I loved the older furnishings and charm of this place!

"Cute does not equal Comfortable"

5.0

The location is very close to the lively downtown with many dining options. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

The room we stayed in (the Dahlia) is truly tiny. I would recommend anyone looking at this location check out their actual website. We learned too late that it has far better descriptions of the facilities. For instance, the description in Booking mentions a "private bathroom" without really going into detail that it is down a hallway outside of the room. Ok, not realizing that is on me. On the other hand, the bathroom has no heat other than some overhead "heat lamps". Because the bathroom is closed off, it felt like it was the ambient outside temperature - so January in Astoria outside temperature. The room was difficult to get around in for two people and the bed only had one night stand. So much for having my glasses or phone next to me. The assortment of antiques is charming but given the limited space, they end up being clunky and in the way. Also, the entry had a very odd smell...like something had died. Again, the Booking description does not adequately describe the multiple steep stairs that need to be climbed. In the morning, our "lovely view of the river" was obstructed by the considerable condensation on the large picture windows. All in all, not a very pleasant stay.

"Not A Bed and Breakfast"

6.0

We liked the town and the closeness to many activities.

Many places have it as a Bed & Breakfast - it is not! In the room we were in, we had to go down the hall to use the restroom. It was a private restroom for our room, but it was a small bathroom. We never saw the manager. All contact was by text.

"Beautiful and clean apartment walking distance to downtown and the waterfront."

10.0

The apartment is very clean and in an A+ location. We could walk to the center of town. There are lots of lovely details in the room. The host really cares. We will come back again for sure. We found that it was a remarkable value as well.
