Hotel San Pietro

Bit more Off centre of Maiori. But possibly somewhat more quiet. Large pool. Breakfast is good, a lot of sweet pastries though. Parking is available, extra €10/day.

The room was very noisy. There were noises coming through the wall and it was very difficult to relax. Other than that, everything was good.

I visited in August 2026 as a party of 6 people (wife and 4 young adults) We had 3 rooms on the same floor and we booked through Expedia and I thought the value was excellent) This is a family run hotel at the top end of Maiori and a 2 minute walk to the top of the main plaza and a further 5 mins to the beach (the port for water taxi a further 5 minutes along the promenade) Clean - this hotel is possibly the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Maid service including bedding and towels was daily and the common areas and pool were spotless. Decor - I use the word traditional and I did stay here 7 years ago and nothing has changed (I say this as a positive). The staff clearly care about the hotel and I found the rooms to be spacious, amenities were great and they had everything you would need. Staff - just the best. Reception was always manned and all the staff greeted us warmly and made sure we were having a nice time. They have a pool bar area that serves drinks and lunch. I read some negative reviews about intimidating and I had 3 teen girls (18 - 20) in my party and they were well looked after and felt comfortable and safe (to expand on this the whole of Maiori feels an extremely safe place to visit) Breakfast - mainly continental and slightly repetitive but lots of choice and had a cereal / fruit station, pastries and toast area (lots of delicious pastries that varied all the time) and a cold meets / cheese station with option Of cooked eggs. I have had better breakfast buffets but this one was fresh, clean and more than adequate (it’s likely the night before you have had pizza or pasta so the thought of a cooked breakfast isn’t appealing). The staff on duty were attentive and some mornings a couple of our group were clearly not going to make it downstairs by 10am 😂 and they would always put aside some juice and pastries for when they surfaced which was a really kind thing to do. pool - nice pool with a slide and diving board and as mentioned spotless. Also had a baby pool. Lots of loungers and no reservations and you can always get a space regardless of the time of day. They provide towels at the bar for free and they have some light background music in the bar playing in the afternoons (nothing loud). Some people question 4 stars… I think this is subjective and varies from county to country and I would say this is easily 4 stars, some mentioned tired decor but it certainly is not. It is traditional decor but certainly not tired and everything worked. I stay in lots of hotels and they are all different and all have something to offer. This hotel offers a friendly option at a reasonable price with dedicated staff and I would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the Amalfi coast as this hotel and Maiori is a gem in what can be a very busy and expensive region to visit. 💯 recommend

Excellent breakfast, large selection in a buffet style

Great pool area with light lunch options Breakfast on our first morning felt like lots of the day before leftovers, grey ham, oxidised cheese stuck to the bottom of the tray, dry pastries. We weren't really early but they seemed to be bringing fresh stuff out after we had eaten. We didn't have breakfast there the next day. We stayed here as part of a TUI package July. The pros: The 2 bedroom apartment is huge, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Kitchen is very clean and cooking stuff looks brand new. The pool area is fantastic, especially with kids. They have a slide and small diving board. The pool bar is fab. Good drinks and food and reasonably priced. The hotel is very clean and pool side looked after. Nice to see the hills in the background and plenty of sun all day. The location is fantastic. 10 min walk to good restaurants and beach. We had no issues walking this with two kids age 5&8, even in the midday sun. Great town with easy access to plenty of places on the coast, without the masses of crowds. Cons: We arrived after midnight and weren't able to get any food on arrival in the hotel or town. We assumed might be able to get a snack etc with it being a planned late arrival with package holiday as have done previously. I also felt uneasy that our passports left on desk unattended overnight. The rooms are extremely noisy and echoey. Can hear everything which maybe issue as some come home past midnight but luckily our kids are not light sleepers. I am sure people could hear us also. The beds are also rock hard which was the worst bit for me. I slept on 7 blankets. There are ants, but not problematically so and I think common issue everywhere. The pool staff are very attentive at clearing things away to prevent issue. Our snorkel and mask was also stolen but just one of those things. The children mask was returned but adult one gone. Silly of us to leave it around. Overall this was a fantastic base for us to see Amalfi, Ravello etc. The cons didn’t spoil our trip, especially but mostly because it was super cost effective to stay here and have some self catering options and for the pool access. If the price has been higher I would have been disappointed.

Excellent hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool, great breakfast, the seaside is in a walking distance.

Podobała mi się znakomita obsługa, bardzo pomocni i życzliwi pracownicy, czystość na naprawdę wysokim poziomie. Pokoje wygodne, okolica cicha i spokojna, basen codziennie czyszczony. Jedyny, malutki minus - śniadania codziennie takie same, raczej mało rzeczy do wyboru. Ale poza tym wszystko na najwyższym poziomie. Bardzo polecam ten hotel!

Enjoying our stay at San Pietro Hotel Residence. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. We are a family of three. Our teenager was provided her own room directly beside ours! Has stable internet and WIFI The hotel is close to the market square, grocery store A few blocks away. A 20 min walk to the port to grab a water ferry. Recommend visiting Minori as well! A 10 min walk straight to the beach, The hotel has a lovely pool which is cleaned daily , over the four days we watched it being cleaned, vacuumed and tested. Love all the closet space to unpack a bit. They have a bar fridge stocked in the room if you need a snack. ***There is a charge. Mechanical blinds and AC available. Room card needs be kept in slot, also ceiling fan in the room. When you check in they do need your passports to register you as a tourist but will return it! Recommended for all my fellow Canadian friends- you will love it! Love the small town flare. Definitely worth the visit

The hotel is located in a prime location. Staff was very nice. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Close to the beach.
