Hotel San Pietro

Stayed for 11 nights, the stay never even lifted their head when we walked passed which I found very rude. The pool area looks clean however whilst I was swimming a plaster stuck itself to me and I left it on the edge of the pool (this was thursday) the following Wednesday the plaster was still there. No music by the pool at all not even light background music all you can hear is a cat constantly meowing, when the cat was let out it roamed towards the kitchen area .. I didn't eat from there after that. The lights on the balcony was never turned on so couldn't sit on balcony and read at night. Breakfast not much choice on savory side plenty of sweet pastry and donuts. I would not rate this hotel as 4* more like a 2 - 3, disappointed as the reviews was so good. No friendly welcome to us at all no acknowledgement from the reception staff at all.

The hotel is rated as a 2 star hotel but we booked on the basis of the good reviews on Tripadvisor and other booking sites. We arrived 3rd September and the external appearance does not give confidence and looks dated needing a refurbishment. Found our 1 bed apartment to be spotlessly clean, well equipped and decorated very well. No balcony but some outside space. Air conditioning was available but not very powerful. Room would benefit from a few minor additions like a plug socket in the kitchen area and coffee table but minor points. Ideally located away from the bustle of the seafront and nights were very peaceful. Supermarket within 200 metres. The pool area is good and pool bar has good refreshments options although never ordered food. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. No charge for air conditioning or room safe which was a welcome surprise and welcomed. Perfect base for couples in beautiful Maiori

1 week stay booked via TUI - we stayed in a high floor 2 bed 2 bath self catering apartment which although quite dated was clean and quiet We only used the pool and found this extremely noisy and far from the relaxed experience needed after busy days exploring as per previous comments children running around shouting with little respect for others - aware this is not an adults only hotel but these were not even paying guests! Pool bar music in the afternoon is just a repetitive boom boom boom 🙄 overall would recommend this hotel as a base to explore only as not far to walk anywhere, plenty of local bakeries, bars and restaurants. Highly recommend using the bus boats as good value. TUI trips offered were poor and the app useless!

I live in Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, England which is very green but the lush lemon groves and beauty of this place blew me away. We loved the character of the hotel and the breakfast staff were so sweet and obliging. By the end of our week they knew my order of green tea and my husband’s English breakfast tea and espresso to finish. It’s a small world as the older waiter had worked in the part of London where I was born 🤣 We found Maioiri the perfect town to explore, with old world charm and a traditional feel. Ravello was my favourite place nearby with a beautiful ride up into the hills. Would like to return one day 💙 Laura K. Partridge

The hotel is so beautiful and it had everything to make our stay a wonderful one. The pool and outdoor area is amazing and the family room we had was super comfortable and clean. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff super helpful. Highly recommend it

Super friendly staff who always were there to help with many answers to questions. Very courteous. Room size was great (separate bedroom fro kids) spotlessly clean, beds were fine and blackouts worked well so no morning light. It was so hot outside the AC was generally welcome though we never managed to get the right temperature. Paddle courts are excellent (in the evening -and free, with raquets etc)and bookable at the hotel reception. There is a nice shuttle service that takes you to the port (for boats), the beach. Kids loved the pool (good size) though i prefer the sea!

Hotel is a 15 minute walk to the beach - so with the heat, you have to choose your times. There is a variety of sweet pastries, croissants, ham, branded yoghurts, juice (not squeezed / pressed) for breakfast. Range of fresh fruit, fresh juices should have been better. Breakfast room was pretty warm if eating breakfast after 9am.

Arrived on Friday 19th of July after a delayed transfer, friendly greeting by the owners and bags were taken to rooms. Room one with double bed, bathroom but no balcony. Room two with single bed, bathroom and balcony. Both compact, cleaned and towels changed daily. Has free wifi, decor was fine. Because of the proximity there is a lot of noise from doors opening and shutting and people talking and walls are quite thin. Swimming pool area clean, spacious with a bar. Big pool and small children's pool. Staff at bar very helpful and friendly, made the best Aperol Spritz! At weekends they have family and friends over which can get quite intrusive. Towels are available at the pool on request. To go to the town, turn right out of the hotel, follow road right to the bottom, 10-15 minutes. Also a shorter route, if you turn right at the first tarmac road with "stop" printed on the road, this takes you into the heart of the town. Lots of shops, cafes and resturants. Not many shops that sell souvenirs. Walked around the seafront but beach is mostly prviately owned by different hotels. Breakfast is from 7-10 am, staff are very polite and efficient and good selection of continental food. Hotel loaned us an umbrella on the one day that we had thunderstorms, pool table available. Hotel overall was brilliant, would reccomend!
