Hampton Inn Vidalia

the room was bad the neighbor was extremely loud all night long and the hotel staff was inadequate to deal with it properly. so it ended up costing me $32 a night more just to switch the room to a decent room. i will not use hotels.com again

Worst Hampton Inn there is. I have stayed at an average 4 per year the last decade. Had to stay here in October due to Hurricane delaying trip to Orlando. The staff are rude and talk back at the customers. They put my family of four, in a single King instead of the Accessible two queen I booked online, take it or leave, and then complained when I asked for enough blankets to use the pull out. The room wasn't even made up when I got there and never was properly cleaned. Something dried on the bathroom sink like old snot? One of the pillows had blood on it, but they refused to give me another stating they had none, even though the hotel was almost empty due to rooms reserved for Hurricane repair workers who didnt show up. Desk staff were either on thier phone or watching "Enchanto" in the lounge. Staff this rude does not happen over night and speak directly to the quality managment. Manager observed staff rudeness, but never stepped in to help. Entire Hotel was unclean and run down.

This was the worst Hampton Inn experience I have ever had. I traveled to Vidalia for a cheerleading competition and took my team to this hotel to spend the night. We had to prepay with a check, which is fine. I received an email from the hotel manager that the check had been received and everything was good. When I arrived, I had to put my personal debit card down since I did not travel with the school credit card. My debit card was charged for ALL 6 ROOMS. On top of that, we had one room with a broken air conditioner, one room that had a horrible smell due to rotten food left in the refrigerator, and one room that was left dirty (towels on the sink, hair in the drains, and hair in the beds). One of the outside doors is being propped open continuously because of an extension cord that is going outside, so that did not make me feel very safe with my team of girls. The staff was great, however. The front desk lady tried her best to help in any way she could. The night manager on duty tried his best to fix the air conditioner and cleaned the refrigerator in the smelly room. They really did everything we asked. This hotel claims they just had a renovation, but I think they probably just need to start from scratch. It was very evident that it was an older hotel. NOT up to the standards I am used to for a Hampton Inn.

Property was nice. Staff was nice. The breakfast area and food was also nice. The room was alright. The shower did not work well at all and it was not clean. not For the price we paid it was not worth it. .well an

Probably return again for other affairs thought prices somewhat steep
