Hanalei Colony Resort

Beautiful old school resort. We loved our stay. Very peaceful. Pool & grill area was perfect for our nightly dinners. Beach is a short walk & a perfect place to watch the sunrise & the sunset. We used the coffee shop daily for smoothies & mochas. The restaurant & spa were a bonus. Close to all our favorite spots to swim, snorkel, hike. Stay here if you want a relaxing, off the beaten path place to stay. Definitely returning.

Best place I’ve ever stayed.

We loved Hanalei Colony on previous visits to Kauai. It’s actually 2 bedroom condos. It’s great having a kitchen and works if you have more than 2 people. The pool area is wonderful with the barbecues. The location near the Napali coast trail and Tunnels and being right on the beach are so wonderful. It feels like a genuine old Hawaii experience. Sadly this time, we rented through some other service rather than through the HCR.com website. We didn’t realize it would be so different. You cannot take the shuttle. They give you only a couple of towels no matter how long your stay. The front desk services are not available for things you might need like clean towels. The place was not very clean. We would NOT rent through anywhere other than HCR.com.

Nous avons aimé la proximité de l’océan avec notre petite terrasse juste au dessus de la plage. La vue sur la plage et l’océan depuis notre chambre.

Le restaurant sur place pourrait être amélioré. Nous n’y avons pas mangé car il faut manger dedans… pas de table en terrasse… La décoration devrait être améliorée pour donner un côté plus romantique / charmant.

Beautiful place Great rooms Loved the location

Emplacement calme avec une belle vue sur l'océan .Vous êtes à environ 15 minutes en voiture de Hanalei, des restaurants et des bars.

La deuxième chambre n'est pas une chambre (système de cloisons sur rail )le lit est un canapé trop court pour une personne de 170 cm .Etablissement vieillissant ,les équipements de la SDB sont vieux et plus dans un très bon état .

What especially impressed me about the HC Resort was the shuttle service to the beaches and Hanalei. Keith Jenkins, the driver, was excellent and totally reliable. He was there punctually at night for restaurant pick ups and also was a very careful and relaxed driver on the challenging roads and bridges. He was a great guide pointing out sights and relating the history of the area. He would often say how we "are living the dream" which was absolutely true and well up to the outstanding standard of all other aspects of this historic resort.

Very rustic. Needs renovations, internet was very spotty and no AC in the rooms
