Lovely welcoming staff, in a lovely peaceful location.

Staff were lovely, pool area was lovely. Shower in room was all stained and mouldy. Not worth the money.

No lift and each floor had many levels, so we were going up or down, even from the bedroom to the bathroom. I nearly fell into the bathroom during the night. Not a good hotel for people with a leg disability. The staff and service were fair and friendly, but slow. It is located in a good area close to a lovely seaside village.

The staff were friendly, my room was on the front of the hotel next to a road which was very noisy from about 6am in the morning, I was woken up 2 mornings at 6am by the refuse men doing there collection. The next morning I was woken up by council workers cleaning up debris from the road. The hotel in general looked tired & in need of refurbishment. The pool was out of use on a few occasions due to pump issues.

There are many good points about The Beachcomber! Wonderful staff, great little pool, good choice at breakfast, very convenient for buses and supermarkets! The food in the restaurant was very good, but unfortunately trying to book a table was a nightmare! Obviously there were not enough staff in the kitchen, and generally only one booking could be made every 10mins!!!! The bar was badly stocked, and there were problems with draught beer etc! The gardens could have been beautiful, but had obviously been badly neglected for ages! Broken pots, filled with weeds, littered the grounds and weeds were rampant all over the paved areas! Signs of general neglect were evident everywhere!

Spacious room, very clean, massive bed,fantastic breakfast, lots of choice, can have full English buffet. Friendly staff. Peaceful location, bus stop right outside, beach 5 minutes away, and Gorey with the beautiful castle.

Really enjoy the pool

Staff was nice. It was a good experience staying there.
