Franklin Suite Hotel

Checked in at 3. Went up to our room to find that it had a portable A/C unit propped up on one of the nightstands which had been moved in front of the window as the hotels A/C was no longer working. Checked closer to find it draining into the recycling can which was behind it and overflowing onto the floor. Didn’t think much about it so we left the room to go for supper came back later in the evening to find another litre of water had collected in the a/c drain bucket so I dumped it again. Sat in the room for about 30 minutes and my allergies started going nuts and the room had a strange musty smell to it. I then suggested to the rest of the family that maybe we shy leave and by the time we packed up the kids were also complaining of stuffy noses. And sore throat’s. went to the front desk to inquire about checking out and was told no problem but you will be charged for the night. Described the issue again with the clerk and was told sorry would you like a printed bill or email no discount will be applied. When leaving check other units out and seen many with windows propped open and a/c units propped up in front of windows. Would I recommend this place definitely not there are way better places to stay for a slightly higher price and definitely well worth it.

Great service, great location and lots of space.

The hotel is nicely placed near the river and highway and only 3-4 blocks from downtown. The rooms are ample and nicely setup for a longer stay in comfort.

We stayed at Franklin Suites for 5 days and 4 nights. No AC all throughout our stay. Wifi connection is really bad. Had to ask for our room to be cleaned. Housekeeping guy though is amazing and friendly. Most of the staff are equally friendly. Their location is very close to MacDonald Island Park but also close to the rugged downtown. I would rate our over all stay as just Meh.

Check in was easy, fast and met with friendly staff. Those suites are great a, clean, comfortable . Breakfast time is a little early (5 to 9) but good. Thank you - lovely place to stay.

I was traveling for work and I brought my wife and daughter along. I was greatly surprised by this location, it was clean and professional. The breakfast was amazing! the room structure was really interesting how they seperated it, which worked for putting the crib on one side and my wife and I on the other. I would stay here again anytime!

I love the service here as well as the room set up, it's nice and roomy and has a balcony! Everytime im in fort mac this is my go to spot!!
