Between 26th Feb - 5th Aug we will be embarking on a £13 ft transformation of our hotel. It does mean that things might feel a little different to normal during this time - and there may be some alternative routes or temporary diversions in place – but rest assured we’ll still be delivering the same fabulous experiences, such as our award-winning breakfast and the chance to unwind in Burleigh Springs Leisure Club. Reception remains open 24 hours a day and the team is on hand to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one. When using satellite navigation systems, please use the postcode LE11 3GR. The hotel delighted me right from the entrance. It is beautifully designed, and the aesthetic, comfortable decor makes a huge impression. The rooms are very comfortable and sparkling clean. The location on the university campus is a perfect choice – there is plenty of greenery around, ideal for relaxing walks. Additionally, the pool and sauna area is very well-maintained and clean, which was a huge plus. The breakfast restaurant deserves a special mention. The breakfast itself was one of the best I have ever had in England! In addition to the traditional English breakfast, there was a great selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, and fish.

The only downside is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. The windows only open to a small crack, making it difficult to let in cooler air, even at night.

It was in a good location although due to building work in the university the sat nav in the car kept directing us to an area that was actually closed. It was handy having the fridge in the room.

The downfall was there was no air conditioning during our stay which was in the middle of a heatwave. The window only opened a tiny amount which made it unbearable for sleep. Some of the staff were very helpful whereas a couple didn't really acknowledge us. We didn't get any information about the facilities and had to go and find out ourselves. Difficult to get information about the breakfast. Also no lift available and we had alot of luggage which was a struggle to get upstairs.
